It is not for anyone here to adjudicate on their behalf, but it is well known that their call operators encourage every caller to refer their complaint.
Current waiting time is still eighteen months, but this will fall rather than rise as the peak complaint period has now passed.0 -

Sorry, I didnt think you were coming back as post #3 indicated you wouldnt. I was posting for the benefit of others. Not you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. Where are you reading all these horror stories then?
Anyway...yes your RPI is most probably PPI.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Sorry is this si too late to help you!
I have come across the same issue as you on this and it looks clearly like Lloyds have form at denying that PPI existed on these loans.
Lloyds acquired the personal Loan book from Goldfish. It is clear that the loans were sold with Payment protection. Past posts are asking you to prove you paid the PPI. This is nonsense. You only need to prove that you were not aware that you had PPI or that you did not need it (life insurance cover, critical illness or work related policy that would have enabled you to keep up payments.
Lloyds denied the existence of this product when I claimed. Then when confronted with information I had obtained from a branch, they then denied that there was any PPI. I eventually had to complain to the FOS to investigate.
You MUST persevere as this is a war of attrition. The bank (with full knowledge of the FOS and FCA) and doing everything in their power not to repay PPI that they Miss-sold. The only thing you can do is Not give up!!0 -

I have a letter from Northern Rock with the redemption amount to be repaid in 2000. A covering letter from my solicitor and the mortgage account number . Northern Rock are saying they cannot find either my husband or I as clients even though the redemption statement letter has all the details from them on it. Do I give up or take to the ombudsman?0

The Ombudsman won't have any details of your mortgage account.
If neither you nor NR have the records, there's nothing you can do.0 -

Not sure what this has to do with Goldfish.....
most NR mortgages were put in place via estate agents and mortgage brokers. if that was the case with you then NRAM wouldnt know anything about your insurances.
MPPI details wouldnt appear on mortgage paperwork or on mortgage statements or the redemption letter. So, none of that helps you.
The FOS have no access to your mortgage details. So, they wont be able to help you either.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
