The old one resembles a shaver in shape, with the file head partially enclosed, which makes it a bit tricky to use.
Edit: No Lumea to trial yet, but my freebie Sarah Beeny DIY book arrived... handing that over to DS with various pages highlighted.
Thanks, sounds like the design is much improved through:TDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
I've heard Tigers Eye is good for anxiety, and I have a bracelet and necklace that I wear, think it's quite unusual and a bit different to 'normal' jewellery so I like it
Thanks! I love tiger's eye but that's because I'm a classic Leo. I've been making up bracelets using tiger's eye, carnelian, opaline, rose quartz, blue lace agate, labradorite, garnet, amethyst... the list of semi precious beads I have stashed seems endless!
I spend so long trying to be the sensible, lawyer me, that I forget I actually enjoy the concepts of stones that help with healing, aromatherapy, all the traditional, less western science, things.
Well with that language, you wouldn't believe I'm a persuasive lawyer! I've come down with a stinker of a cold, and I've dropped a good 20 IQ points with it.
No more UUs yet but there's five that will go at once, whether they'll be in this month's list I'm not sure. Hope everyone's enjoying their chocolate!0 -
Happy Easter to those that celebrate it! Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend and that people are managing to have some time off.pirateyqueen wrote: »I have 04, Peach Club and 02, Frambourjoise. I love them both soooooo much!
I bought these 2 plus a red one (hot pepper?) Not tried them out yet but probably will wear one tomorrow.
I get so annoyed when people don't use the testers and open a new product  I think all make up should be sealed in the shop - think it is in the US. Reason I mention this is that none of the Bourjois matte lip things were sealed  had to take my chances and hope they hadn't been used!SarahB1989 wrote: »Ta for the toner advice, have read lots about Pixi so thats on the wishlist, think I might get the La Roche Posay Effaclar one instead this time though, would only be £1 as I get boots vouchers from surveys.
I use the La Roche Posay Effaclar one - can't say I have noticed a massive difference but my skin doesn't seem to mind it.
Might have to reorganise my helmer soon, like looking through my stash
Glad you had a good break FizzWhizz and well done on not buying anything!0 -
How good have I been?? Lakeside yesterday and I didn't buy anything!!
Went into L'occitaine and was given a little bag of goodies as I have signed up to their mailing list- lovely surprise!! Had a small tube of Shea butter hand cram, a sachet each of shampoo, conditioner & body cream plus 3 sachets of Devine cream. Plus I had a voucher for a 50ml pot of body cream.0 -

Someone really likes me... after using the last one I got sent, which had an RRP of £300+, the hair has crept back and it's difficult to see much difference now. This one has two very good reviews.
I will be trying it out ASAP as I'll need to give it as much time to work as possible before reviewing.
will be interested to hear how you get one with this. IME they work as long as you keep up using it, I bought the one Boots introduced a few years ago at a cost of around £250
OMG it blooming well hurts and I can't remember the last time I used it. I should try it again but the pain puts me off, shaving is so much easier/cheaper and much less painI've also bought an epilator, again I haven't tried it because of the pain reports. Not very MSE I'm afraid
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

nipped boots yesterday and got my friend so soap and glory goodies, slightly enabling they are all on 3 for 2 at the mothanks but no thanks, I have gone right off S&G, finding the smell too sickly and hate the smell when it goes off and I think quite a few us on here have too

I have a lumea. The newest model (I think) which you don't need to use a gel or anything with. It is working well I'm impressed so far (I've only done two treatments on armpits so far and one on legs and under chin) the hair has come back much thinner, and slower re growth. Especially on the legs. It doesn't hurt but gets warm for a few seconds only thoughNo more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80 -

I've bought the silk epil wet and dry with shaver. Not going to lie, I only use it in the bath and if it's been a while I'll shave first, leave it a few days and pop a paracetamol first. I swear it's more psychological than anything else, but you can't beat the results vs cost for an epilator.
Does anyone know if you can now use the light machines on lighter hair? A friend went for professional hair removal but was told if could only be done on darker hair. As I'm ridiculously fair with white blonde type hair, I didn't think it could work on me.0
