Mrs. M, I would try Keratin supplements for nails. Dr. Scholl's Heel cream does the job for me but I have to put it on every day, cracks seem to be appearing more in the summer....when everybody can see them ;(First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

I agree with Mrs MP, very MSE but I think I would have bought other things to go with it and I would have made sure I removed the price. I know what I would spend on them when the time came round though.Happygreen wrote: »Mrs. M, I would try Keratin supplements for nails. Well I had an interesting conversation with the manager at the tyre place, seems he has no idea what he's talking about either and kept changing his mind about tyre types and what they meant throughout the conversation! Talk about a load of bullcr*p! Ingus (learnt the Latvian guy's name!) did tell me a lot of the people working there didn't really know what they were talking about and it seems he was right, at least about the bloke from last week and the manager from today!
Just to clarify, for anyone who is interested, I have posted a guide up....

Manager said he would argue there's no such thing as summer tyres as people don't put certain tyres on for just the summer (!!) erm, it's a tyre TYPE you idiot! If you go on any tyre place, they have summer tyres listed!!
Basically the bloke said he didn't want to risk upsetting me (I'm not upset, I'm hacked off tyvm!), so he'll do whatever I want to put it right, so I said ok, take the 4 summer tyres off and put my two old ones on the back and replace the front ones with all-season ones to match the back! Oh and my £132 back for the tyres I never needed for the back thanks!
SO exasperating!! In 17 years of driving I've never had to go through so much hassle with regard to tyres! After this it's back to Kwik-Fit all the way!! Going to be writing one hell of a letter to the head office once it's sorted! Can't wait to have decent tyres on my car again, I've noticed a HUGE difference in handling with these summer tyres (car doesn't pull away as nicely as it did) so I'll never change from all-season from now on!
Excuse the rant, hope everyone's ok? More on-topic, I've tried out my QVC No-No for the first time today, need more practice to get the gliding speed right but I'm impressed so far!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

glad you sem to have got some satisfaction in that they do seem to be giving you your money back and putting right what they did wrong. but what a nightmare i can understand why you are so hacked off. definately a letter needs sending to Head Office. i would be naming names of bad staff as well as praising the one who seemed to know what he was talking about and was helpful (just be careful you dont drop him in it) but he shouldnt be carpeted with the other two ejuts if HO do do anything
thanks for the advice re feet and nailsSPC~12 ot 124

2 outs from the weekend
- Garnier face wash, just their essentials one, have bought dozens of these over the years but avoiding foaming cleansers for now
- Beauticology Strawberry Body Creme. Nice in the shower, lathers really well but scent doesn't stay. Used the last of it as shower gel to get rid. Got another of these in the stash.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Hope you enjoy your break Fizzwhizz - we are visiting DH next Friday near is current place of work in Wolverhampton. We plan on visiting Dudley Zoo and perhaps Cadburys World, we are also staying near MerryHill shopping centre so there may be ins to declare on my return (if we have any money left after our essential visit to the build a bear workshop).
Hope you have fun restocking your new helmer Maddiemay - the A england I applied on Tuesday evening lasted to its removal this evening with no chips and only minimal tip wear hope you have as much success with your new ones.
Helmer due next week:j No doubt I will be filling and emptying it several times while I decide what will live where. Not tried my New A Englands yet, just Nail Envy on them ATM and need to do toes ASAP. My nails have been really flaking at the tips, so no NP seems to have lasted me more than 2 days max, but someone on another thread recommended Mavala Scientifique, I have been using it every 3 days or so for less than 2 weeks and they are so much better, really pleased.tiffanyjayne wrote: »I bought my first Helmer today, got the cream one and left the wheels off, i'm replacing my old plastic draws that hold my make up with this, i couldn't use it for my lotions and potions are the draws aren't deep enough but hoping to find one bigger for those, thank you to who ever mentioned it in March's posts x
Enjoy your Helmer:D, I hope that you find something suitable for your lotions and potions. My skincare, hand creams, body lotions and bath and shower gels are spread over about 5 different places, so that I can keep track of the age of things etc (vast majority of my stash is now items that have been gifted to me) and I am so looking forward to only having 2 or 3 of each type of product, but it will be a long time before that happens as I do not seem to use things up very quickly, mostly high end products left now and although expensive to buy, they are really economical on the whole:money:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Dream cream from Lush. WNBA, don't like the smell of lavender.
Oh, and I believe I've had IN arrive in the post this morning, Biore Sunscreen. Needed though, I'll shortly run out of my current SPF and this one came from China I believe, so I needed to order it well in advance! No more goo hoarding!
