I've suffered a real blow today - my Google Nexus tablet has died. Apparently it's a common problem and is due to an update that's been installed on it. Am not happy at all as I've only had it just over a year. Doesn't look like the John Lewis guarantee is going to cover it either. Thing is I've become really attached to this little gadget.

Just posting here in case any of you lovely ladies suffer this same problem. My lovely technical wizard MrM has fixed my Nexus. He had to download their Toolkit and reinstall my tablet back to its last update. Apparently the newest update is corrupted and if your tablet gets infected like mine it goes into "boot loop" where it's trying to reboot and can't. Hadn't realised how much I rely on this little gadget and was a bit more distressed than I would normally be as Emma's school are tweeting updates on their time in Iceland plus I use it for my Kindle. The only thing I seem to have lost from it are all my photos of Robbie and Olly taken last Summer at the Etihad concert. Am hoping they are still on the camera memory card which Emma now has in Iceland with her.

    Happy Saturday all

Anyone else had problems with Bodyshop online delivery using DPD, normally i have no problem with royal mail because I go and collect it from the sorting office just down the road, DPD sorting office on the other hand is 75 miles away and want £10 + Vat for the priviledge of delivering it at a time someone will be able to sign for it. Have asked Bodyshop for a refund as i refuse to pay £10 + VAT for a parcel so it will never get signed for. Well i guess someone in the gods doesn't want me on the naughty step! Bodyshop also appear to have no customer service on a weekend which is rather amusing in today's 24 hr society.

That's ridiculous being asked to pay that kind of a amount of the courier to re-deliver.

Any ideas about what to do with a rubbish make up remover?! It was only £1 from Wilkinsons own range so I didn't expect much but it just smudges mascara all over my face and stings my eyes!!

Think I may just have to bin it :(

Maybe keep it to wash your makeup brushes with?

Oh I'd love to go on a cruise again! Who are you going with (i.e. company) and where?

If the update was one recommended to you then you should have some come-back with someone, and try and JL guarantee as you never know until you try. Sorry it's died though, I felt like I'd lost a limb when my iPad broke!

Hi Kadison. We are going on Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas 14 day Mediterranean Cruise. We sailed on this ship the year before last however this itinerary is slightly different as it takes in some Italian ports rather than mostly Spanish.

The update was the actual operating system for Android and installed itself. Was really miffed because I couldn't find anything within Google or Nexus sites that helped sort it out. Anyway as mentioned above it seems to be ok now.

Well I have had a bit of a sh*t day to say the least. My auntie passed away this morning, my FIL is in hospital and, to top it all off, I fished a drowned hedgehog out of my garden pond this afternoon :(

So sorry to hear about your loss girlybags. Hope your FIL will be ok. x

    Just posting this seperately.....

    ENABLING POST!!!!

Sunday's Elemis TSV is worth about £165.25, not sure what the price is going to be yet but I'm interested to find out and attempt to stop myself from ordering if the price is very good! :o

I watched the early presentation and as said before it seems to be a repeat of the Christmas TSV except with the addition of the Tan Accelerator and Night Cream. I don't use the Night Cream and don't want to buy more of a similar kit for the Tan Accelerator. Am planning on buying a tube of this prior to my cruise though as it is good stuff.

I am not being tempted by the Elemis TSV, the only thing on my wish list is the tan accelerator. I am waiting to see the OPI one in a few days time:D

Maddiemay, I am seriously tempted by the OPI TSV (as if I wouldn't be??). Here is a link to a picture of it. MrM overheard me watching the blog preview for it and made similar comments to your OH as in "have you money for that" and "do you really need it?" The presenter on the blog kept saying it was the first OPI TSV in over a year so I've reminded MrM of this and reminded him that he now uses Nail Envy and Avoplex. Come Wednesday I'm sure he won't mind too much.

Kadison, I have the Flash Balm and would not rave about it. Seriously, if you want to try it I'd pick up a tube from E**y first.
    afternoon ladies,

Valm, I feel your pain, I dropped my nexus yesterday and broke the screen and I'm feeling a bit lost without out (missing candy crush :o), hopefully you will be able to get yours sorted out easily since it was caused by one of their own updates

Thanks sunshineyday. Candy Crush used to be my guilty pleasure as well. Nowadays I am hooked on Song Pop and 100 Pics. I think I need to find Apps Anonymous after the way I have bemoaned the loss of my Nexus this weekend!

 I want the Elemis TSV! I have never tried any Elemis products before. Feeling pretty fed up at the moment which is never good for my purse

If it helps, Timetospa ALWAYS have good Elemis offers on, not so much price wise but they have amazing GWPs so your money goes a LOT further. Keep that in mind as something to treat yourself to once you're stash is under control, that's what I'm doing. That and graduating before November so I can re-stock with all the xmas offers! :rotfl:

Very glad that your Nexus is fixed!

My mum and I went on a cruise with P&O in 2001, I loved it soooo much! We did the med too - Vigo (Spain), Madeira, Lisbon, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Casablanca (Morocco). Casablanca was dreadful and was dropped from the cruise the following year, having only been added for 2001, so a lot of people must have complained! The rest of the cruise was fab, apart from a terrible bout of seasickness on the crossing over the Bay of Biscay!

    Three UUs:

Balance me face moisturiser - WMBA, like it, not sure how much though
Sanctuary Spa hand cream - have another bottle
BS Jasmine shower gel - like this, but it's £6.50 full price, and I can't justify that sort of money!

    Five INs:

L'Oreal EverRiche shampoo & Conditioner - current ones have a month left, but bought replacement now because it was on offer
Lush putty for your hands - I poked around the tester, and thought this was something completely different to what it actually is (I thought it was a powder, that you mix into a putty yourself, think the tester was just dried out then)
    Maxfactor lipstick
Natural Collections lip liner - for a fancy dress look, I'll probably chuck this out now...

Sounds a lot like my late Gran, she was from Glasgow originally, pale as a whiter shade of pale :o

I think you can use the tan accelerator as a normal body cream but I would ebay it personally.
