Moving from BT Infinity -- still being billed?

I recently moved broadband from BT Infinity to Plusnet. MAC code was requested on the 4th of March and passed to Plusnet the same day. The broadband service was moved to Plusnet on the 15th, with the phone being moved on the 28th.
I have received a bill dated the 25th which is further charging me, in advance, for both phone and broadband for an additional month -- a service which I am not receiving. This bill runs to more than £48, and there is no indication of this actually being the last one of its kind.
BT have simply given a vague response that my "final bill" will be sent to me in 40 days.
I don't think it is reasonable to pay a single penny to BT from the moment at which the services were migrated, so don't know what they are playing at here.
Has anyone gone through this process before, and can confirm at what point this account will be corrected from?

You normally need to give BT 30 days notice, so you'll be billed until 4/4 of thereabouts, depending on when PN used the MAC. Your bill of 25/3 cannot be the final bill, because your phone was still on BT at that date, and so there will be 3 days line rental plus any call charges still due. So it's presumably the normal advance bill for line rental, and the previous month's call charges. You should receive a final bill in the next month, and any credit due will be applied then.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
