I would send it via by post as well, and ask for confirmation of it being received. Popla has had problems with character count limits previously

Thanks I did also email it to the popla appeals email address that you get after submission.

After my rant letter to the range, including my grandad with breathing problems whose still worried about the charge, how they have lost a load of customers and the fact I was going to the paper.

    Their response was..

"Unfortunately I am unable to comment on the policies and procedures used by ParkingEye as the company is not linked to The Range. I can however confirm that ParkingEye have been granted the relevant authority by the landholder CDS Superstores Int Ltd to provide enforceable car park management on site. On speaking to staff at Parking Eye I have been reassured that all guidelines are followed in accordance with the British Parking Association and that they are regularly audited by this body.

If you have any concerns regarding the Parking Charge Notice you have been issued I recommend that you discuss this directly with ParkingEye to prevent additional charges. I appreciate that the car park is used by The Range customers however the car park is privately owned and not the property of The Range.

Therefore if you wish to appeal against the notice you have been issued, please follow the steps documented on the Parking Charge notice and provide your proof of purchase where your case will be considered.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you.

    Yours sincerely "

Might as well just stuck 2 middle fingers up to me!

More proof THE RANGE dont give a s**t about customers.

I've seen that reply from The Range a few times before. Obviously a template, and, even more obvious, one drafted by PE.

You may already be aware of this but CDS Superstores Int Ltd are The Range (or at least are the parent company)

Congratulations on the council ticket appeal.

Re: POPLA when you got an email acknowledging your appeal submission there should have been a letter attached in which they give a date when the appeal will be assessed.
  • ah... I never got that at all... no emails

I appealed on the website and I also sent an email to the appeals email address they only give you after you have appealed on their website.

Sent it both places and literally heard nothing.... It was a month ago now..

I'd email POPLA and ask them to confirm receipt of your appeal as you've not had any acknowledgement of it from them. Ask them to give you an approximate date by when your appeal will be dealt with.

They're usually pretty good at responding to such queries. Don't forget to cross reference your POPLA verification code in your email.

  • It worked!!! thanking everyone. Wicked stuff.

can someone please remind me how much this process has cost Parking eye just so my grin can widen even more :rotfl:

    Response is below .

Have a good week everyone.. Wahaaay :j :j

and to parking eye.... HA Ha

always quote in any communication with POPLA

    D (Appellant)

    -v-

    ParkingEye Ltd (Operator)

The Operator issued parking charge notice number ******* arising out of a presence on private land, of a vehicle with registration mark *******.

The Appellant appealed against liability for the parking charge.

The Assessor has considered the evidence of both parties and has determined that the appeal be allowed.

The Assessor’s reasons are as set out.

The Operator should now cancel the parking charge notice forthwith.

    Reasons for the Assessor’s Determination

It is the Appellant’s case that the parking charge notice was issued incorrectly.

The Operator has not produced a copy of the parking charge notice, nor any evidence to show a breach of the conditions of parking occurred, nor any evidence that shows what the conditions of parking, in fact, were.

Accordingly I have no option but to allow the appeal.
