They have a new tactic !
This new tactic is to ignore any appeal that looks like it is heading towards a POPLA GPEOL and hope the clock runs out and they can steam ahead to court.

They know people are getting directed by forums and think if they ignore them, let the clock run out, they can isolate them as the "forum has failed them"

I am on to this and hope others are as well, they are not and never will be able to outwit everybody.

This is what you should do.

Put the same Appeal in writing headed :
SERVED NOTICE OF APPEAL: SERVED ONE WORKING DAY FROM CERTIFICATION OF POSTAGE.

Take the letter to the post office and obtain a free certificate of postage from behind the counter, do not get this wrong, keep the certificate of postage very safe, do not use recorded delivery, just a free certificate of postage is required.

Do not let them run the clock, new tactic from our favourite parking firm, nice try, but not good enough.
    Be happy...;)

P E don't seem to do an email acknowledgement (well didn't when I submitted one - I followed up with a hard copy by post

If you're concerned - might be worth borrowing your mates printer or pop your appeal on a memory stick and nip round

Don't sign it - just a squiggle will do

then send a copy - but send from the post office and request a free proof of posting certificate (DON'T send signed for or registered - the little divils don't sign for em )

EDIT - apols for the crossover Stroma and Spacey - really need to speed up my typing or my browser - or both :-\
  • Great thanks everyone

I received no emails at all from Parking eye after submission, probably as was just said so they can say they never received anything... the only proof I have is what I saw on the screen "Submission received" or some generic crap, which was useless to me as it had no REF number or anything that I could use to prove it even related to me.

I did notice Spacey how much they refer to forums giving the wrong advice almost sounds like a personal attack on MSE with the examples they use and how they "win 90% of their cases in court"

has to be said.. a lot of scaremongering and propaganda on Parking eyes site

Well present figures given the last ten court cases would show they actually lose 90% of court cases and this is only because we do not know the result of the last one.

What they actually mean, is we win 90% where nobody defends it.
Which given they should get an automatic default win, we can only put the 10% down to incompetence.

But figures do not lie, they have lost 9/10 and we do not know the result of the tenth.
    Be happy...;)

Re the Council one, post about it on pepipoo when you get the first rejection letter (which you will):

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

And re the PE one, as others have said just post a copy of what you've already emailed. And pop in and complain to the Store Manager of the Range this week. Their CEO doesn't cancel these fake PCNs so don't bother with the Range Head Office, but on a Store manager level we have seen them cancelled for complaining customers.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • I did complain to the manager but he didnt care, I made sure I said the part of "My 87 year old Grandad came here shopping and now your fining us £100" as loud as I could without shouting so that the hectic saturday que could all hear several times, but was no use.

Im off today to get proof of postage and get a posted copy enroute so I can get this sorted hopefully.

Cheers! I will visit pep when i return :)

Complain to the range head office as well, it's only an extra email
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

  • I recently got the P.E Rejection letter with about 4 pages of previously "won " cases. The POPLA Appeal form states it was sent 4 days before it actually arrived...

Anyhow I have been browsing here and cannot find as advised any recent cases or standard responses to POPLA for this fake ticket. Only stuff from last year, I dont want to send anything thats no longer valid. If someone could steer me in the right direction that would be great.

    thank you :j

    wicked cheers,

Just before i draft it up and show everyone, is it worth me mentioning the actual height of the signs as im over 6ft and can barely read them when im standing next to them let alone driving and when I say the charge is unjustified do I use the first amount, or the higher one i.e £100?

    thanks
