Mail on Sunday big article

Morning,
I am surprised that no one has mentioned a big article in the Mail on Sunday, covering both private and council tickets.
Did you all forget to reset your clocks?
I can't put up a link as a Newbie, if you want to read it online it is in the money section.

Slightly misleading article in that it only refers to POPLA and the BPA and not the IPC and IAS.
Also, a ParkingEye employee encouraging people to appeal on mitigating grounds, knowing full well that POPLA does not take mitigation into consideration.0 -
Is it this one?

Morning,
At least it is lot more balanced than Honest John in the Saturday Telegraph who just tells people to stop moaning and pay up.
Their Saturday readership is claimed at 1,656,000, if only 10% read his column that is a huge number who are being told there is no way out of the PCN, and they, of course, go to work and out socially and tell others that Honest John says you must pay.

Totally misleading as this is Mrs Lemon and Harris who did not win at POPLA but were taken to court by PE where they won.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0

Have I missed something? These ladies were taken to court, not Popla

It's amazing how many people are still spouting the old 'ignore' advice in the comments section of this article. I just had to register with the Daily Mail (and then proceeded to feel dirty for doing so) so that I could post directing people to come here.0

Thought the Lemon & Harris case went to court, and was covered by prankster, will have a look nowWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

We had a poster on here at the time (murdomaguire) who stated they too were legally qualified who constantly flew Lucy BC's flag, defended her HJ posts and claimed to be completely unconnected to "her". Indeed, Lucy posted here herself - as LucyBC - until it transpired that "they" were "one" or at least shared the same username.
At which point Lucy slowly faded into the background never to be seen again except occasional tweets about race meetings and her insurance based interests in which she never appears as a director or shareholder. Well, at least, not in that name.
Sorry to digress...Thought the Lemon & Harris case went to court, and was covered by prankster, will have a look nowMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
The article is full of inaccuracies which is typical of the daily fail, I mean the lemon and Harris case heard at popla is one, the fewer than 1 in 20 going to court is technically correct, but it should have read that the figure is 1 in 150 ! The 5% figure they got was lifted off the bpa!
It's a shocking article! And it doesn't even link to pepipoo or here, but it does to CAG who's record in this is quite shocking on occasions, the scammers are laughing at this misinformation again printed in the national press! When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Prankster has just blogged about the article:
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/prankster-gets-name-check-in-mail-on.htmlPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
