I was wondering if I switched to a new internet provider will the new provider have to send a BT Open Reach engineer to my address (assuming I am switching my land line and broadband to the new provider).
My contract (for landline and broadband) with my current provider has now finished.

Your current contract has not finished until you give and serve 30 days notice. Your contract has merely reached the end of it's minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If you move from ADSL to FTTC (fibre) you may need a visit to fit a VDSL faceplate. They would also install the VDSL modem unless your provider supplies a VDSL router.0
