Annual account statement & direct debits

Hi everyone,
It has been a while since I've been on this board looking for advice. I moved a while ago from Npower to ScottishPower attracted by a long fixed rate.
Everything prior to the switch was great, personalized accurate information, everything happened when it was supposed to and I could keep track of it on a dedicated switching website.
Since I've been up and running for a while a couple of things are starting to a wrinkle. I received an email referring you annual account statement saying I just had to login and view my message on the website.
It wasn't there for ages but I have managed to view it now, some two months after the email but never mind. Anyway the statement itself is nothing of the sort.
It just tells me what my price per unit is and some information about what percentage of power comes from various sources. I thought power companies had to send an annual statement now and this would be based on their best guess of your usage if they did not have a years consumption to base it on.
I haven't been with them a year, but I can't see the point in them sending me this as it is so generic it is useless.
At the same time my direct debit was changed. There was nothing about this in the statement that wasn't a statement or any of the bills I have received.
The payment was reduced to 21 pounds per month from around one hundred (I thought 80 was about right but erred on the side of caution).
The final minor concern I have is when I have sent messages about a couple of things the replies were a little weird. Maybe it was just typos or someone having a bad day but I fear I have become a victim of the dreaded off-shoring Npower proposes recently. They did say some suppliers already do this.
I don't really want to ring them as I am on the phone a lot in my job, but there seems little value in the written replies I get. I know I should have been told about the direct debit changing, I'm not too worried as I have kept the excess aside but it still seems like a poor practice.
Any input welcome.

Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.
