Viber, Calling from UK to Australia Free?

Is calling UK to Australia, with the ap Viber a free call?

(with o2), Samsung galaxy s3.

If both of you use the Viber app and the free call option via wifi then Yes, it's free (as are messages). The recipient has to be showing as Online.

If you use Viber Out option because the other person is not on Viber or not online then it's chargeable.

What does using the data usage do on viber, compared to wifi.

If you are connecting by 3G, as opposed to wi-fi, then you'll incur data charges.

Data is 3G and chargeable abroad

Viber Out rates don't look like anything to boast about.

I's suggest either get a local SIM to use with a data bundle, or get a SIM from Toggle Mobile, which can have an Australian identity added and then calls to UK are 3 pence a minute, incoming calls free.
