Wel thats a little bit cheeky but do we expect any less? There will be dairy farms all over. It will be to do with the price the farmers are selling it at. Verrrryyyy naughty. Thanks for the heads up!Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]
Total £10628.86
All paid off! 10/03/2009 :j0 -
Well it is local to me, the dairy is 14 miles away in Lincoln0

You're getting a bit obsessed with this crusade against Tesco, aren't you?!Gone ... or have I?0
-
Not at all surprised but then I wouldn't trust Tesco's in anything they say0

Instead of moaning about the definition of local, is the argument about supporting local farmers? Which it only can be. Many farmers don't like supermarkets and they demand prices so low many go out of business. I thought this was well known?
So why are people complaining?
Tescos hardly will do local farmers a favour even if it is local. Has it not trigged to these people that if it matters that much to them then they should be buying it from a local farm shop not a supermarket!0 -

A farmer gets what Tesco or whoever are willing to pay. No argument, no negotiation. If they don't agree the price they don't sell their goods, its as simple as that.0 -
Jesus! Another thread on Tesco! Business Student do you sit googling Tesco all day trying to find somthing else to moan about?
Stop shopping there and leave them alone! As much as its a laugh to read your constant pointless moans about Tesco, it has to stop at some point surely?0 -

From your news story:
"David Wilkinson, from Dairy Farmers of Britain, said: "The Heart of England is a big region at the moment - we may tighten it up - but it comes from the middle of England."
"The middle of England isn't actually ram-jammed full of dairy farms so it will need to be a big region."
So all in all a bit of a non event news story...
Why do you try to needlessly blacken the name of one of the UK's few world class companies? The money, Dave...0 -
