I've got several printers but my favourite is a very elderly hp one (must be over 10 years old). It just counters on year after year.
The only problem is that it has recently started to print colour only and, whatever I do, I can't get it to revert to black only ! Not sure what's happened to make it do that.

I don't know about carb cravings as such but I found I was hungry all the time like it was hormonal or something, I was the same when I had a mirena coil fitted a few years ago - soon got rid of that and I went back to normal. You could give it a try and see if it works for you. You can get them online
