Fair enough! I drove a transit van through the bat cave once - never again!

Agreed, but then saying that I don't like olive oil :rotfl: I think for the amount you use when cooking the health benefits are irrelevant, but it is excellent for kneading/bread making.

They are without doubt my favourite shop bought dessert, mmmmmm.

Evening/morning all, got in from work 40 minutes ago and due to Ideal Home opening an hour early I now have to be at work at 9 so 2 hours of sleep for me with a 7 hour shift with the public, God help me.

    You have my sympathies PD.
Just got in from work too :( DD has music school at 9am and dance school at 1pm so I'm gonna try to grab a couple hours kip now too.
Night all :) and morning to anyone getting up :)

Need to go back to complain about the Carbonara mixes which were 'woopsies', so poss a £2 gift card too!

    Have a lovely day :)

I know a good olive oil can taste nice, but do you drink it for its taste, or for its health benefits? Do you use a shot glass and down it, or sip it like a fine wine? Genuinely curious.

Think I read somewhere that it it helps those who suffer from constipation..........

Olive oil - yes but not for cooking as it has a low smoking point.
Seed oils - No - too high in Omega 6 - it is omega 3 we are generally lacking in our diet.

Butter /Lard - never used it for years if I have then it will be and ingredient in something which I would have bought. Tend not to buy ready made stuff

Margarine - No - one step away from plastic :eek:

    Coconut oil - yes

Fat will not make you Fat :) Those who low carb will have a high fat diet because they have switched their fuel source from carbs to fat and the body seems more stable and works better when that is the case :)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
