Happy Birthday BFSB
Hope you have a wonderful day0 -
My DH is like this, he seems to see it as tantamount to cheating the shop or stealing because I'd be making money out of them. I don't really agree (and, like your family, he's happy to make the most of any bargains I get). I do, though, think there's something to be said for considering the overall worthwhile-ness of it. e.g. spending £2 on fillers to get £1.50 back on an APG just makes no sense. It's all very well if you're going to buy certain items for your weekly shop that would also work as fillers, but what's the point in spending £2 on sweets otherwise? And people saying 'well it was using up an APG', but you only got the APG by 'overpaying' in the first place, so spending the APG on crap or letting it go to waste means you've just overpaid for nothing.
I also can't see the advantage of driving 12 extra miles to M, given the price of petrol it would be hard to save money that way.
Overall, I think you have to pick your moments. Clearly there are some bargains to be had, and plenty of money to be saved, but it can take up a lot of your personal time and energy, and you have to consider that as well. I only do the bits I do because T is very close to work, and I'm too far from home to drive back for lunch. I'd rather be in T getting 1p bargains and finding RTC items when I can, than sitting at my desk for the extra hour. Otherwise I just wouldn't bother, as it wouldn't be worth spending my free 'home' time doing it.
Spot on, Arthien, I pick and choose what glitches to partake in, I'm not in to chocalate, crisps or coke, all items that regularly glitch, so there is no point going out your way for it (and no one needs 100 bottles of coke), I shop once or twice a week, save your money and petrol and buy what you need!;):D
Nenen, as for spending time on here, it is time consuming but you don't have to read every post, if i'm 30 pages behind , I skim read or just go back 5 pages, any major glitch will be re quoted, so don't bust ya balls over it, spend time with your family, it's (ususlly:eek:) more fun than spending hours in supermarkets!!:D"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

EDIT - don't know now as showing £1 - but not the salsa, still £2.28
