Lloyds has their regular saver at 4%, which is additional to the current account - money will be going there once I run down the Nationwide account, as second best option to what was my 5% (about to end:().

Mine is about to end too ... So thinking open a new one, close the original - new one "should" then qualify for 5%?

I quite like the drive to Oxford, better than the M1, the late night road works are ridiculous! On the other hand it will probably take me longer to get from east to west London than to drive to Oxford :rotfl: How are doing VT? :)

I am quite good thanks. Strange with mum away but coping well.

Thanks. I'll study the T&Cs! I know with Halifax if you close then switch back again, you can't get another £100 welcome bonus if you have switched since 2012(?). Sometimes (my impression is) you need to cease being a customer entirely then come back. Perhaps I need my head dipping into reality if my impression turns out to be wrong! I'll see what I can do - rest assured I will immediately move my money for the best interest rates! :think:Perhaps I ought to open a Clydesdale account too (as there's bound to be more beyond the £2500)?

This Nationwide Flex account earns about £20 per month before tax - I've had one, non tax payer so I complete an R85 form for each account. My 12 months is up in July :(

Mine only earns about £10 Pre tax. Am I doing something wrong? Over £1000 goes in and out of it each month :(

    Thank you

The M25's an easy road over the Easter hols (well it's not too bad)if you can use that to get to the M40. I once had to travel from Surrey to Watford over that period and I stuck some talking books on the tape player- (yes my car was that old) and "read" some books I couldn't be bothered to read easily to kill timew on the journey.

I have to drive across to North London to deliver/bring home DD sometimes and it'd be quicker to sit on a tortoise and let it crawl across London. :(

:rotfl: my mother's car has a tape player, I use a converter to play mp3s with. I usually have picks up to do all over first, but I know a lot of 'short cuts', well slightly quicker than the main roads (mainly via Camden, Primrose Hill, Baker Street and then Marylebone Road to the A40/M40). I was around Surrey way last week at a film studio near Egham and was thinking about you (not in a creepy way).

Agreed, it's pretty much why I want to get out of the film/TV industry. Last year was pretty depressing constantly getting rejected for work. Since turning 30 (a whole 7 months ago :rotfl:) I just want some stability and to stop living in limbo, if that makes sense.

You could always change direction and follow your passion :o whatever that might be? I'm sure you could go in a baking related direction?......maybe teaching it? I don't know?
My husband calls me a perpetual student, and that's a big word for him :D :rotfl:
