Ha ha, all money in the 'running away' fund.

Oxford is not a great drive:( but on the otherhand you will never be that far from home.

I quite like the drive to Oxford, better than the M1, the late night road works are ridiculous! On the other hand it will probably take me longer to get from east to west London than to drive to Oxford :rotfl: How are doing VT? :)

Once I have it up and running fully, I'll have one merry amount doing a trip through all the accounts on one day, before ending back in the highest-paying interest current account.

    It is fun!:D

This Nationwide Flex account earns about £20 per month before tax - I've had one, non tax payer so I complete an R85 form for each account. My 12 months is up in July :(

How do you get that ? Surely 5% on £2500 is £125 per year before tax and that's only just over £10 per month and I thought you could only have one account.

Tired but ok, this week I'm driving between London and Oxford so looking forward to late starts and early finishes (I won't corrupt your post if you don't corrupt that last sentence ;)). After May the 4th (be with you), I'll be looking for work again on revenge of the fifth so as knackered as I am, going to take it while I can get it. (I give up, too many innuendos :rotfl:).

You're right to take the work when you can get it. I do freelance work for a government department, and it pays really well! I just have to agree to a minimum 20 days a year......which sounds more than do able. In reality, it's only do able for me if I can leave in the morning and get home the same day and the majority of the work is dawn sarf.....
and the months pass so quickly  if got 5 days towards it in the Easter hols so that helps.

Essentially it's not a regular market, it's run by people who live in a warehouse community. You meet some interesting people there, that's all I'm saying!

Ah I see, hmm a warehouse community.... never heard of that type of market.

I've also thought that if you have this Nationwide account you can also have a Nationwide regular saver which you can manage on line. If you put in between £201 and £1000 month then you get the max 2.5 % interest - this is instant access so its a good place to put whatever is left over at the end of the month.

Also check what local building societies you have close by that have monthly savers eg Cheshire platinum pays 3% with up to £500 per month, Yorkshire pays ?% with £250 per month - these are not well advertised so you need to do some research to find them.

Lloyds has their regular saver at 4%, which is additional to the current account - money will be going there once I run down the Nationwide account, as second best option to what was my 5% (about to end:().

The M25's an easy road over the Easter hols (well it's not too bad)if you can use that to get to the M40. I once had to travel from Surrey to Watford over that period and I stuck some talking books on the tape player- (yes my car was that old) and "read" some books I couldn't be bothered to read easily to kill timew on the journey.

I have to drive across to North London to deliver/bring home DD sometimes and it'd be quicker to sit on a tortoise and let it crawl across London. :(

Yes only one now (originally slipped through 2 but they spotted that and wrote to everyone!). We have two - one for me, one for Mrs Anon. I cannot remember if this is one where you could also get a joint account and still qualify?

Agreed, it's pretty much why I want to get out of the film/TV industry. Last year was pretty depressing constantly getting rejected for work. Since turning 30 (a whole 7 months ago :rotfl:) I just want some stability and to stop living in limbo, if that makes sense.
