I hope I find you all well and hugs to those that need/want them.
Yesterday I made a few things for an indie market...
10 x chocolate cupcakes
10 x lemon and coconut cupcakes
10 x apple, cinnamon and vanilla cupcakes
16 x puff pastry apple danishes
60 x sugar and cinnamon coated mini doughnuts
12 x giant peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies.
40 x lucky dip sweetie bags
... which literally cost me pennies to make, so as a thank you for the elite for helping me fund my baking addiction, I've donated to both charities posted in relation to the grand national. Cheers!
They look amazing!

OT, I got 'volunteered' to run the sunflower and scarecrow competitions for our local schools on behalf of the local allotment society. I emailed four major seed retailers last Thursday, to ask if they would donate the sunflower seeds. I received a reply from T&M on Friday asking how many I needed. I advised that it was for thirty schools approx and would need approx 20 seeds per school. Saturday morning they emailed me offering the 600 seeds. :T:T:T:T:T The other companies have not even acknowledged my email.
Am well impressed with T&M for their generosity and speed of response.0 -
If that's your case....why not recommend DH to First Direct?
Ask FD to send some invitation cards to your address. Put his details on the card for recommending him to open a 1st Account.
He'll then get an application pack; but he can also apply online.
Once his account is up and running he'll get £100 and you'll also get £50 for the recommendation. You'll both then have access to FD's 6% regular saver.
Remember to drip feed the money to maximise on savings.

Why don't you organise to make the initial recommendation, both winners!100 -

All this talk of running multiple bank accounts (we also have "a few" running with our own money circulation scheme to get the best interest
) I can recommend Ewise Accunity - it is the vanilla software that is used behind what was Egg Money and other bank account aggregator software. Once you add your accounts you only need to remember one username and password to access them all. An added benefit is you can save the profile to a USB stick (encrypted) and set it up on another computer too, so don't have to worry about having to set it up again in future if you change computer. It works with Internet Explorer. Oh, and it is free

I've been looking at that link already tonight - but I need a clear, wineless brain to take it in properly !
I did suggest DH opened a First Direct account some time back - might be a bit awkward now cos I recently got him added onto my own account. Its nothing to do with him, just a paper excercise to ensure that if anything happened to me he would have acess to my account. (He put me on his Lloyds account for the same reason.) I doubt he would therefore be classes as a 'new' customer.ELITE 5:2
