Not very well bubbs, our pitch is pretty much on a slope all we managed to do was get it level Friday. We are beginners.
I did empty the car of the stuff I had packed ready to put in the cupboards but the whole caravan needs a bloomin good clean.
Mr TS went out there yesterday but his family didn't go to theirs because of the weather, so awning not up yet. He played around with the electrics though and has got the security alarm on now. :T We didn't even know we had one.
He said best I don't go over today to try and clean it as it was pretty boggy from the rain yesterday, itching to get it sorted but I need a nice warm day to wash the inside down so it dries out properly. My friend had 2 young children so everywhere their sticky mitts have been now has a white bloom of mould. I am a fussy mare and want to wash the cupboards out too before we use them. Other peeps dirt and all that.
Bad news is we forgot to keep the fridge propped openand the shelves have rusted. £35 online for some new ones but we will have to get them. The old ones are unusable. Fridges seem to be a bit of a problem for me at the moment don't they. :rotfl:
We did have rain yesterday, day we had some overnight but not alot dont think.
If you have a steam cleaner you can use this on the walls, i didnt know but one of my friends has bought a static and as they bought at end of season last year when they went last weekend because it had been shut up and no air there were some mould spots on the wall and she said it worked brilliant:T:T:T

£20 for a car wash and oil check seems expensive to me :P0 -
So now I'm trying to reduce some of our outgoings because if everything goes to plan then our family will be moving to a new house in a couple of months time.
First thing I've done today is reduce our Sky package by £30 a month. I've now just got the basic entertainment package. I was going to cancel it completely but I don't think I'd be too popular if I lost the kids channels. Also my wife and I are looking forward to the new series of Game of Thrones which starts tomorrow.
Next thing is renewing our car insurance for our two cars. Got one premium on my car reduced by £120 using top cash back comparison but I can't get my wife's premium on her car any lower. I keep trying different sites but no luck so far. It's a bit of a pain having to keep inputting the same details. It doesn't help that I have to be a named driver on her policy and I have a couple of driving offences that I have to declare
If you can be brave, phone back and cancel Sky. You have to give 30 days notice. This will likely bring entertainment down 50%, possibly 75% (they are likely to offer 25% off when you try cancelling, say no and hold your nerve - the outbound Retentions teams offer better deals!).
As an example: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=65048027&postcount=5403
Read this thread for further examples: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2652651
Golden rule - don't accept the first offer unless it is 50% off or better. It is a game. Make sure you login and switch on your marketing settings too as it gives them more options to contact you.
Let us know how you get on.

I can't stand celery, but my mum wants some and misery guts likes it too
He tried with the cucamelons back last year and they didn't come to anything, so I thought I'd have a go this year and see what happen. I've only done two so it's no big loss if it's the same againI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Thanks Karlie, some good tips there. I'm looking at everything at the moment.
I have already done the line rental up front. We've definitely got loads of tat that I could do with getting rid of before we move house as it's going to take ages to transfer it all. I might do a car boot at some point.
My shed is still full of cobra and I store most of my other stash in our garage.
The really good thing about our new house is that it has a triple garage so I'll have lots of storage space and I might be able to get a second freezer :j
Some people use their garage to store their cars too. Allegedly .
My garage is chaotic to say the least, Cobra stash is reducing but coke, Fanta, shampoo, shower gel takes up a bit of space ... Oh and kids bikes and other stuff too.

That's what I thought at first, but no, he's taking it to get a full valet and he will check the oil, tyre pressure and screenwash, so I think I will be up about 25 quid and the bonus is he will be gone a couple of hours so I can get my chores done in peace, bliss :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Awwww:(

Yes Fridges do:( but at least hopefully you will learn your lesson re caravan:D
We remembered to leave every cupboard open and put all the cushions and mattresses on their sides while it was stored over winter. Just didn't think about the fridge.
I do happen to have an unopened steam cleaner knocking about somewhere. :rotfl:
It's the wooden surround of the bunk beds that have the mould it's probably not as bad as I am making it sound. We did have a kampa crystal dehumidifier in it while it was stored so nothing has got black mould. Which my friend said when she stored it it did.
The drawers and cupboards have crumbs and dust in so not too bad really. The most difficult bit to clean is going to be underneath the sofa/pull out bed at front of the caravan as I can see the dirt/food crumbs through the wooden slats but the bit that opens for storage under is not the full length and I don't have long arms. :eek:0
