Reserve and pay online and go through Topcashback. Makes it quicker in store too :)

Last time I bought something through Screwfix I did this and the cashback got refused. I raised a ticket but have never had it resolved. The bits I have to get today cost less than £10 in total so I'll just go and get them. Thanks for the reminder though :)

I know exactly where you are coming from but they have it all covered in T&C "guide price"

I would still feel robbed if I found out later I had paid £5 instead of £2 times 20 :rotfl:

Especially if I had had to make eldest homeless for the room :o and probably given myself a hernia carrying it all upstairs

Just back from my CC visit - and I've got 6 packs of moonshine plus 6 packs of a similar substitution . As expected, they tried to charge me £5 each so I took the paperwork into the store, explained my problem at the CS desk ( staff member understood exactly why I was complaining) and asked to speak to the Manager. Two staff arrived, explained the issue again - and whipped out my iPad to show them it was STILL on the website at £2 - and said that I felt it was very misleading and akin to putting a lower SEL on the shelf and then charging more at the checkout. I was polite, calm and reasonable but, when they agreed with me and said they felt obliged to honour the online price, I was VERY surprised ! I was only having a pop cos I felt it was misleading and really didn't expect a refund.

Anyway, they sent back to collect my order, explained I would have to pay the full price and then wait for a refund of the differenc within the next 48 hours. I'm a very happy bunny and think that they managed the problem very well by honouring the lower price. Incidentally, there was no suggestion at all that the £2 price was a glitch/error - they said it had been £2 up until yesterday and had only changed yesterday. They were going to report the online price as being incorrect as of today.

It was certainly worth saying my piece.
