Oh I didn't even mean to quote you Dave, was trying for Claire but sooo tired....
Genetics can be dominanat and recessive, also sex linked.
Its not only one or two generations, it can go back further.
Eye, hair and skin colour follow this rule but so does blood groups.......my mum used to breed birds and we started researching sex linked and recessive genes to get the colours.
We then had a bit of fun with humans and of course our own family.
My blood group is A negative, neither of my parents have this group but they think one of my grandparents may have, it is of course linked to rhesus factor for women, so we know none of the women had it.

    they are both A positive
    I am A negative.

There's 2 things at play here. The ABO system.....one of which you will inherit from one or both of your parents. And the Rhesus (positive or negative) system which can have any of three outcomes.....

positive and positive can = positive or negative in children
positive and negative can = positive or negative in children
negative and negative can only = negative in children

Grandparents don't come in to it, it's directly linked to your parents

Cheers, bud. I've fixed your "and finally" for you

I know what you mean about niggles. :o I felt like too many questions were being asked that were answered there (just not obvious enough perhaps) and loads of questions were being asked that probably warranted being included. I added as much info as I could in a few areas. If anyone wants to add to the specifiics of online PP shops that would be great, I've never done one

Just to know you know that, as I've become more savvy (supposedly) since starting here, I'm now compiling my lists (other than M) in two ways. I suppose they, in one sense, add more items on than before and, in another, take more items away that no longer reach the bar. Not of the kind that dm is probably reaching:D, but instead "bar" in the sense of 'minimum threshold' let's call it!

I save information into (and move information between) various lists, which I hold privately, and then, when coming to post a list on here, I go and have a look what is in a saved list and then select what I think are the better items that are on it. I've started to become a bit more lax in what I allow onto the saved lists in the first place, supposedly so I can check the items (or some of them) more fully later (when coming to post the list here). But there is then a screening process that the items have to go through - in other words I have to think them good enough - to order to appear on the posted list, and the bar for this has been raised, thus fewer items now make it to the posted lists, but they have to be 'really good', apart from a few daft items that I occasionally include and mark with a roll-around or two (or sometimes more:rotfl:).

On the original saved list though I tend to have been more lax. Except that I am, in another sense, toughening up about what I let onto the saved list (and thus what stands any chance of getting onto the posted lists) - when items are now going on £1 prices (or sometimes lower than £1) in T for example (or S, W or M), I'm now almost always only adding them if they are on multibuys. If they are on £1 r'back, they're no longer getting there, as that's no good. I remember when I used to compare £1 vs straight £1s all the time. Not any longer - I've learned more and more from being here with the Elite:T and the straight prices are just no good for me anymore given what we've previously had! If it's to qualify as being "Elite", it really has to be the best or at least among the best.

The Morries lists are compiled in the above two ways (in other words on the one hand, a lower bar in some of what gets onto the saved lists (to be checked later:mad:), but on the other a higher standard in not including many £1 vs £1s or £1 vs 94ps anymore (or even single price items vs £1.50s, unless I've added them to keep track of whether an mbuy might be put onto them later:D). But the Morries lists have a third component - this week - they've been compiled both from the above two online methods and added to which I've got some price info. taken instore (on a Wednesday no less:D, and a Wednesday where we were glitching that day:rotfl:) that has added some significant info. on a number of occasions where msm is saying N/A for Morries. I think some of my best (potential) comparisons on there this week are items I've found instore rather than ones that have come from msm online.

I also had a look around for some Ferreros at the end, but couldn't see any at anywhere near £2.99:rotfl:. That said this wasn't the bigger store but was one of the town stores and I suspect they don't stock as wide a range of Ferrero as my other M might have - and it's not worth going to there just to look for this one item:rotfl::rotfl:. I doubt that will work anymore (I could be totally wrong) as I suspect it was just a glitch on last week's price collection, but it has stumped me as to what it was comparing to.
