I have been through hand scanner numerous times and only twice not had a security check so it takes longer than going through normal or self scan till.

If your're scanning then deleting you will always have a security check.

The last time I scanned loads of stuff and found quite a few 1p items, so I deleted them , did a normal shop, then had a security check. Once I paid I went back around again , got another scanner and just scanned the 1p stuff and had no check ,
