I havn't done hundreds of scanning shops ...but I have only ever had one that was checked...and I do quite often scan and then delete.
But the one shop that I was checked on was one with about 15 items of mixed stuff and the 2 avengers duvet covers after christmas...wasnt even mentioned that they were penny items!


Also with the echo falls wine a few weeks back I managed to find some at 75p which again I used the handheld scanners and it wasnt mentioned because it needed an overide at the till for proof of age.


I always thought the checking was random...and I guess a lot also depends whether its a nice SA or a trout on the SS tills.

I am another unhappy with British Gas. Mum was with them, they are all nice as pie on the phone about things but it does not stop them sending nasty letters even though they know the situation. :mad:

Southern Electric have been far more understanding so far.

Ive also did lots of scanning and deleting and not had a check. I don't know if it is random or if it's different store to store?
I'm Was trying to work out the limit for coupon scanning in my store at scan and shop. It must be quite high and as far as I can tell must go on % of coupons value to value of your shop.....I think? Maybe? On one occasion I had 17 lower value coupons and it let me scan 13 and the rest had to authorised. Last week I scanned an £8 cond. spend, £17.80 PPs and a 50p off MOC and then it asked for authorisation for the rest?

Just select no subs for that item & you still get the apg even if oos.
