Parking Eye notice

Hi All,
First time poster so I hope this in in the right place.
We have just received a Parking Eye Parking Charge Notice and have been reading so many common threads (including the stickies) on here, but am still a little unsure on exactly what to do in our situation.
The notice we received seems to be the standard one from Parking Eye (£70 discounted to £40 if paid within 14 days) issued for Sunderland Royal Hospital, however I am extra annoyed because we did actually pay and display a ticket that gave us up to 2 hours, and we left before it expired.
Luckily my husband had not cleared the car out so we still have the ticket as evidence.
The back of the notice explains the complaints procedure which leads me to the appeals page of the Parking Eye website, however in order to fill in the appeals form you must state if you are the driver / owner etc. But I seemed to have read on here you must be careful about stating you are the owner?
I have just emailed a complaint to the Patient Services department at the hospital, but am now unsure on how to deal with Parking Eye themselves.
Any advice on here will be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

hi BarneyBruce,
Yes be careful not only about making sure you appeal as the registered keeper but also about the contents of your appeal - and you need to ensure it includes the legal arguments against these charges - if you haven't already read the sticky NEWBIES thread please do now - linked below - contains advice and template appeal examples
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=4816822
and take a look at the flow chart
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4922055
Also if you had a ticket that covered the period you stayed what are they actually alleging the charge is due for?0 -
Many thanks ColliesCarer. The flowchart was very helpful I hadn't seen that previously. I can't believe how much info there is on here about these parking charge situations its shocking how many people are being targeted.
We were so surprised to receive it seeming as we bought and displayed a ticket, I really don't understand it. It was a machine you had to input your reg plate which I personally did, so know was correct. The parking ticket it spat out displays the last two letters of the reg only which my husband initially thought to be the issue, but as there is not enough space on that section of the ticket for it to print the full reg we have since assumed this not to be the problem after all.
Just so very annoyed I have to spend time sorting out something we haven't done wrong!0 -
Give them HELL :rotfl:PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

Glad you found the links useful and I'm sure da-rule will be pleased you found the flowchart helpful - it's handy to have a route map isn't it.
Yes it is pretty shocking how many of us are being seen as meal tickets.
Almost 2million keeper details were obtained by private parking companies last year. And unfortunately you've been targeted by one of the most prolific who accounted for about 725 thousand of those.
But don't worry forum aided appeals have a better than 99% chance of getting this cancelled altogether.
And P E are not even submitting evidence against forum aided POPLA appeals.
So just follow the advice, make use of the templates and if you have any queries post them on this thread.0
