Car Insurance/Awareness Course Advice

Would it be worth me contacting my current insurer with little over a week left on my policy?
If I were to only to act if it mentions awareness courses on my new policy would that cause any issues? What would the likelihood be that they would contact my previous insurer?
Although the Driver Awareness Course hasn't been asked for on my new policy, if my No Claims confirmation states that I haven't attended a course could it still effect my new policy?
When my new insurer produce a new confirmation of my No Claims would it state that I have 2 years No Claims although I had the first year with a different insurer, or would I have to provide the one from the previous insurer as well when taking out another new policy?0 -
Would it be best for me to just contact my current insurer, tell them that I have only just realised the error and take it on the chin whatever they have to say??0

If you are asked to send your proof of NCD at all it is likely to go to someone on little more than minimum wage who has a stack of hundreds to go through every day along with other post. They have the simple task of checking NCD stated and NCD received match.
If you are that concerned about sending something to your new insurers then ask your old insurers to send a letter/ "certificate" of NCD which will simply be about 3 lines long confirming your NCD at the end of your policy and nothing else0 -

Wouldn't they just forward the PDF that they sent me which says that I haven't attended an awareness course?0 -
Depends on the insurer and their systems/process
Certainly my prior clients have had a "NCD Certificate" system letter and it was easier to trigger that than to ask the system to regenerate the renewal pack. Admittedly this was before the days of PDFing being legal because of the Motor Certificate that came with the renewal pack0 -
There's and argument that going on one of these courses should lower your premium, however insurance companies probably don't see it that way !
Dump Admiral and go elsewhere (there's no way they could check anyway, unlike points).0
