Has anyone ever had a really big tree removed and if so, what was the cost?

I've got an 8-90ft scots pine that needs to be felled and am dreading the cost.

Subject to your gardening needs & plans & the tree surgeon's coopperation, how much to chip part of the tree for general mulching?

Will this save or cost you?

Do you know gardeners who use chippings who are local who'd pay towards?!

Someone will do it free for the wood.

However before you let them anywhere near your 90ft tree with a chainsaw is there anything within 91 yards of the tree that you or your neighbours value to any extent?
