Save the date cards - sent from web

Does anyone know if there is a site where you can send out save the date cards straight from the website? So we go on and list all the names and addresses that we want them to go to and they get posted out?
My fianc! has been looking and all the ones she's found so far mean they get sent to you first to address and send. We're overseas at the moment so it would be much easier if they could be printed off by the card company.
One that doesn't cost the earth would be good too

I think moonpig.com might do what you're after but I've never used them myself.0

why waste money on save the date cards (another unnecessary expense!) - just send everyone an email, or a notecard saying "blued &XX are getting married on <date>. We'd love you to join us on our special day - invitations will follow but we thought you'd appreciate some notice to put the date in your diary!"
Personally I wouldn't be very impressed as a guest knowing that my contact details had been handed over to a random company, no doubt I'll end up getting the Save The Date card & years of junk mail too!0 -
You could get a personalised save the date card for a few pounds on etsy which will be emailed to you as a PDF and/or a jpeg which you could then email to people. Something like this:

December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
On the other hand, It was our 24 wedding aniversary the other day, and my wife got out the scrap book her sister had done for us, which included the hand writtem acceptance responses to my parents in law.
I'd never actually read any of them before (They weren't sent to me, and they were a jumble at the back of the scrap book ... no excuse really), but the permanent record of my Grandad's hand written note, made me cry. Not going to happen with email in 24 years time is it ?0 -
That's a good point about possible junk mail, hadn't thought about that. My fianc! wasn't keen on emailing the card but I think I've talked her round. Less than £5 for a personalised PDF is better than £££ for cards.
Thanks all

+1 for email. Whilst acceptances can be delightful, they're of invitations.
Not only will a unique graphic be a brilliant way of identifying your wedding at 200 yards, as well as across 20 years, it also means you can use email better.
As you can personalise it if you want. I send Christmas cards to those who still want them, & a letter which contains the questions & concerns I wouldn't put on their mantlepiece as well as the greetings.
All the very best with the day & with the long & happy marriage that follows it!0 -
Why do people make things so complicated these days?
Whatever happened to just sending out invitations?:hello:0 -

This is only 'save the date' cards - presumably they'll be sending out actual invitations later and will be getting replies from those.0 -

Invitations only go out a few weeks before, the point of a save the date is exactly what it sounds like, its so that people can keep the date free if they want to go.
That said, they can make things awkward when its a wedding you'd rather not go to, you need to have a decent excuse ready!0 -
We had save the date magnets from Vistaprint. They cost under £10, and were fab
and my mom put them all through the franking machine at work, so no issue with postage costs
don't know if you'd have a similar option available to you?
