  • Hi Spy (with my little eye) :):rotfl:

That sounds right to me. In the past I could swear that a 5 point Fitbug day has cancelled out a 10 point gym visit, leaving me with only 5 points. But either way, you can't get over 10 points a day.

  • Hi
I only joined pru for free gym memebership which ive had for past year - great!
Ive read posts but i cant figure out the answer.
I was told on the phone by pruhealth in July 08 that i shouldnt cancel my gym membership due to November change news, but should get to platinum status, up until last week on their site my vitality points showed only 150 points to get to platinum status, easy.
logged in yesterday and says to maintain gold need 1300! My renewal was last week so got letter stating my premiums etc.
Have i been given wrong info, did the renewal date stop me from reaching platinum, dont get it.
Will phone monday but want some info beforehand so i can challenge this.

    This all sounds brill.

    Punky pickle did quidco track?

I didn't go through Quidco as I went through Boots so I could get more points and a free health check....although I probably should've done!

I'd be really interested in the outcome of your conversation as there aren't many people who have posted what happens after the first year, please update us

Your points are reset on renewal. You only retain 10% or so. You retain your status though.
You should've got to platinum before your renewal. I suggest cancelling the gym in Nov until you reach platinum... Get a fitbug?
  • Pru are taking their time making cineworld avaiable it says it is going to be in September so am guessing they will wait til the very last day!
  • I've just phoned Pruhealth as I've been trying to register my eBay account through the member's zone so I can get more points but it just comes up with a page of coding. If there are any other problems with the website, make sure you let them know as they are going through the process of making sure everything works properly (interestingly enough their points query page also doesn't work!)

Also anyone with Boots Health insurance wondering how to book the eye test to get 25 points....I finally got a response from Pruhealth and they sent me this message....

Please contact Boots on 0845 120 4343 to make a booking for an Eye Test. To locate your nearest store you can visit: http://www.bootsopticians.co.uk/storelocator/ . Once you had the Eye test, Boot Optometrist will provide you with a prescription, which you can send to us in one of the following ways:

    Fax: 0800 015 2974
    Post: PruHealth
    Vitality Administration
    Stirling
    FK9 4UE

Remember to quote your policy number on the correspondence you send us so that we can link it to your records. Once we received this, we will award 25 Vitality points to your records for having the Eye test. Also, you can earn 150 Vitality points for having a Glaucoma test.

If you have any questions or require further information, please call us on 0845 125 1911. Alternatively, you can send us a secure message from our website.

Hope this helps anyone who was stuck before! Also you can only have the Glaucoma test if you are over a certain age...
