Feeling disheartened

I don't want to sound cyncial - I'd love to pass on words of encouragement - but instead I'm going to be honest with you.
If after only 5 weeks of comping you are already disheartened, then this probably isn't the hobby for you. It's amazing when the wins do arrive, but you can go months without anything (my personal best for a dry spell was 7 months, during which I was still on here on a daily basis). You don't always get out of it what you put in. But like others, I actually enjoy the process of finding a comp, reading about the prize, imagine myself winning it, enter then move on to the next one.
I wish you all the best though if you do continue.0 -
5 months in and I've yet to win anything. This really is only worth doing if you enjoy it. The iwiwiw threads are well worth a read for positivity and motivation. It's good to know other members are getting some luck and it gives you some faith in the competitions you are entering.0

I enter around 500 comps a week and sometimes I can go a month or two without winning anything. Its just luck x Hope you win something nice soonMake £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0

Im just going to echo what others have said, 5 weeks is nothing in the comping world, some of the comps do have several weeks even months before they end so its possible that some of the comps you've entered haven't finished yet. It is a game of luck yes but try not to think of it as something you should win every day/week because its just not the case. I started comping at the beginning of feb 2013 and my first win was end of april 2013 so nearly 3 months from when I begun, since then I have been blessed with jewellery, vouchers, make up etc and I love every prize I win. I enjoy comping, I consider it my hobby now which occasionally rewards me, no different to a person who plays bingo or the pools. If you are disheartened already I suggest comping is not for you but good luck on what you decide:money::rotfl::T0

I can't believe it - after posting this last night - a DVD has arrived in the post today - Birds of a Feather - I am so chuffed. I don't know who to thank but I'm thrilled to bits. Might not be the ITV win yet, but it's a start.
Thank you all xxx0 -
