Feeling disheartened

Options
I've only been comping for 5 weeks, and at first my thoughts were 'you've got to be in it to win it', 'someone's got to win and why can't that be me'. As the weeks are passing, I'm wondering what are the chances of actually winning anything?

I don't enter any Facebook, Twitter or rafflecopter but enter the rest that take my fancy.

Please pass on some of your luck as I don't want to lose this positive frame of mind.

Thanks x

  • Why not try Twitter? I only seem to win on Twitter. I don't win anything from facebook or anything else.

The more comps you enter, the more chance of winning, so give Twitter a go :)

    Good Luck :j

we all go through this you just have to keep trying and 5 weeks isn't long.. Loads of the comps last a month so you wont hear untill after they are closed so 5 weeks comping isn't that long keep your chin up and good luck
  • there is a good chance a lot of the competitions you have entered may not even be finished yet.
I was notified this week of two wins of competitions that ended in December.
Also you dont say how many you are entering, I win about 1 in ever 1000 comps I enter.

My main point though is its not about the winning, you need to enjoy it as a hobby and the prizes are a bonus

    Keep plugging at it.

You are right you do have to be init to win it. I didn't win my first prize until 4 months in.

5 Weeks is not enough time to give it as said above some comps you enter have very long end dates.

The more you enter the better chance at winning you have

Hope your first win is just around the corner

every day this week I have had a delivery from postie. A 5 ml sample of perfume today. (may have been a sample), also some nice honey and lemon hot drink and a couple of dvd's. I track every comp I enter and two of these I can not and or remember entering. And, I got through the door yesterday a cool old fashioned bike horn, think from cravendale, - guess moral is just keep going. You will win. Probs wont be a massive win. But, when you get the CD or DVD through the door, you'll get it ;)

5 weeks isn't that long - I only had 4 wins for all of last year.
Having said that they varied in value from £100 to £500 so I'm happy with that. It's nice to get the smaller ones that keep you motivated but it's not unusual to go 2 or 3 months. Unless you're one of the people who enter hundreds every day, which I'm not, I miss nights when I'm working or just decide to get a life!
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
