Last couple of times I've needed underlay I've bought it from tradepriced.co.uk.
Both times I was happy with the pricing and service/delivery times.0 -

I think wilsons underlay do some great cheap priced stuff, I wanted the felt not the flashy stuff as more bothered about warmth and noise suppression than padding around like a cat upstairs ( my cats do this anyway)
one thing I might mention though =- underlay great, logistics, awful, got back from work roll of it in my garden despite me asking them to use garage anyone could have nicked it!
but if you're in (or lucky like me) it's great, cheap and on ebay0 -
I second Wilsons underlay, great advice & prices & brilliant service. Recently bought mine from there. Ordered one day via phone, delivered the next. Cloud 9 at a fraction of the price of carpet stores & all the door bars etc at a bargain £1.99 each compared to around £8-£9 in some carpet stores.
Here's the link if you want to look https://www.wilsons-carpet-underlays.co.uk/The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

I've just dug up this thread from last week because I am buying my first house and hadn't even considered underlay!
My mother in law says it's worth investing in and is more important than carpet. But I'm overwhelmed by choice.
How do you pick underlay? Would you just get the most expensive you can afford? Or does particular brand have a good reputation?0 -
Screwfix, great quality and good price. Enough said!0

I bought all my underlay from a seller on eBay! It was the cheapest I could find, it was sold by a reputable company, only via ebay.0

Cloud 9 or Tredaire Dreamwalk are considered the best underlays on the market. The thicker the better as it will give you a real luxurious feeling underfoot. Probably at least 11 mm thick would be the ideal thickness to go for unless it's for an area that will be little used. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
