You want a specific colour, but may settle for another colour if the deal is right; I'd tell them that and see what they can do. You'll always still have the option of ordering in the one that you do want.0

I like the dark grey version of the car and I quite like the white as well, although I suspect white cars will go out of fashion and there will be a glut of them in the next few years! I am definitely not keen on black or red.
There are no 'extras' as such available for the car I have chosen. I could ask for a free servicing plan or something lame like car mats but the best I can hope for is probably he rings me and says he'll knock £1K off for a different coloured car and I get an even better deal - that's not going to happen though as they'd have to do the order form and everything again and I've already signed it all.
Looks like I will probably be waiting for my first choice - will see what he says when he rings me later today.0 -
Metallic colours...gray/silver.
Avoid white, especially big cars, looks like a cheap ex-police car from an auction. Or am I living in the past?
Just a bit! Since the Police started buying silver cars (since white was resale death), white became fashionable and ubiquitous - to the point where the used market may be facing saturation and a different colour could sell well purely because it is different.
By the time you've noticed a fashion, you've missed it.0 -
White is the new black.0

If there's no chance of money off, then a free service plan is a good idea. Also try asking for a year's tax and a full tank of fuel - depending on the car, that could be worth a few hundred quid.0 -
Silver and blue are still up there, but to the disgust of anyone who has had to look after them, white is coming up fast, while black is back in the running. Don't buy a car that you are going to live with for years in a shade that is, "not quite right". Everyone tries to crystal ball it, but few get it right.
What is definitely wrong though are death blue and maroon!
Remember those electric blue and green cars of the 90's? Or even better, while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, have a look at BMW Marrakesh Brown. I think everyone refers to it now as Metallic Diarrhoea.0 -
Well thanks for your help everyone. I tried but the only car he has is red so it's a total no go and am getting the original colour I ordered.0
