As many of us are a little anxious about the above, I thought I would share todays event with you all.
Received a secure message that they are about to take their quarterly fee. Nice touch. It also said if there is no money in the account (there isn't - transfer not completed) they will take it from my debit card. Didn't realise they would do that - suits me fine.
More worryingly, they sent my wife the same message and I have linked the accounts. Phoned; immediately answered call; guy apologised assured me that it is a mistake; can see that the accounts are linked; assured me that £40 will not be taken on 5th April. I am keeping £40 in my debit card linked account - just in case!!!
Am I worried? No, of course not - a minor glitch. Stay tuned.

I got the same message, It said account with an active SIPP would not be charged. As I have an active SIPP I would have thought it would make more sense to send the email only to those affected.0

I too received the same message and my transfer isn't complete either!
I decided to fund the trading account with £20 just to "test out" adding cash - it all worked well which is reassuring for the moment!0 -
Yes, I've received the same message today as did my husband - his message had an added sentence that linked accounts are only charged once.
We are both in the process of transferring holdings to II.
Yesterday, I 'phoned them with yet another question and they answered immediately and knowledgeably.
And I have funded my trading account with some cash which, like xylophone, was trouble free and quick and easy.
So far, so good. I have been very impressed with their customer service.0 -
got it too. yes, no funds with them yet. will they look to charge regardless of whether they have any funds on their platform yet?0

Hi. I discovered iii from reading on the forum and have been happy with my experience with them. I also have a linked account with my wife, I just assumed that it is a automated email sent to every account. From reading the message I am happy that the fees will be correctly deducted.

I been using the platform since late Feb and did wonder when they were going to get round to asking me for some fees
However I have done a bit of trading so they've had some money out of me that way.
I also have no complaints about the customer service side of things and have found the interface fairly easy to understand and work with.
The only thing I have found with the debit card system used to fund the account is that the cash does take about 3 days to come out of my nominated account. When setting up regular transactions I've made sure that the date of withdrawal is a week before the 23rd when the orders are processed because apparently if there isn't enough money in your account to satisfy all your orders they all fail.0 -

Haven't you had the secure message yet? Oooer!0 -
I used my ISA account almost as soon as I opened it about 4 weeks ago. I asked them if it was OK to do so and they said fine as long as I didn't make any further payments into my old ISA (still waiting for that to be transferred). I did pay dealing fees but I wanted to check out how things worked and keep up my monthly payments. Looking forward to having some commission credit though.0

After my experience with them 2 yrs back, I would never go near them again!0

I've recently completed my first trades with II while awaiting the transfer from HL to come across.
So far so good. I had put some cash in in case fees were taken before I realised it would be taken by debit card. Like others I was surprised how long funds took to disappear from my bank account when I transferred money by debit card although it showed up on II as cash in their account.
My main surprise was the trading fee of £10 being deducted from the investment. I hadn't thought that through and I like to invest round numbers so I will add£10 to all future transactions.
The phone service has been ok. I've been misinformed a couple of times already once on when a purchase would appear on my account, and once on the procedures for converting transferred funds from dirty to clean.
Main bugbear is the website which is very dated and does some strange things. I hope they throw some money at it soon! The online help is inadequate And I haven't found out how to do a portfolio analysis yet.
there was always going to be a trade off for going to a lower cost platform so I will have to duplicate my portfolio on trustnet to analyse it and put up with the website!0
