I've decided to simply wait it out and ignore the threats. The receipts for the shop are no where to be found and I believe it was cash transactions.
Also I think the issue of having to disclose more information than I am comfortable with is a risk. I appreciate all the advice and I will update this thread as the various letters arrive.0 -
raging rupert I have had exactly same experience with same car park in Livingston. I have just now received a letter from a debt recovery company say ing to pay or they will instruct highview solicitors to take court action.. im scared now and don't know what to do for best0

Ignore them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So you followed my advice to search for Scotland?
Please reply back in your own thread, not hijack other people's threads.0 -
bod1467 the only reason I commented on here was because it was exact same car park and company
didn't know I was hijacking....0 -
Debt Recovery Plus LTD letter recieved.
Do I just ignore this too? I haven't entered into any correspondence with Highview Parking or anyone acting on their behalf. Is this 100% certainly going to just go away?
Tempted to phone them and tell them where to go but that would just prove I received their letters.0 -

Indeed. If you want to encourage them to hassle you even harder then that is exactly the thing to do. But if you want them to go away a.s.a.p. then keep ignoring them.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I have so far ignored the threat-o-gram. Will see what happens when their "deadline" for payment arrives. I assume some sort of threat of court proceedings?0

If you have a look at the pre-POFA letter chain thread, you will get a pretty fair idea of what they send to us in Scotland.0
