I have decided to start a emergency fund, the car bill was £520 and while we did have the money for it, it did make me think what would we do if things went wrong elsewhere, so I am going to look to put at least £50 a month away, the debt is on 0% for a while yet so I am able to do that right now.
I have the laptop listing ready to go live at 8pm tonight for a week (sunday nights always seem to be best)
I am just on my dinner break at work, can't wait till home time though lol and I am looking forward to not working next weekend.
I am soooo pumped for my debt journey, I have a new sense of excitement to it for some reason

Hi,
Just reading your diary and catching up on bits.
I've had a few issues with eBay recently too. I had three items and none of them paid for them. All different. They were supposed to be my present money. Ebay didn't seem to do anything about it either.
Oh well. Hopefully it will sort itself out and you might even end up making more.
I've also been crocheting blankets for gifts.

Good idea about the emergency fund. It seems to be the recommended thing to do, doesn't it. We haven't got one and tend to end up spending the spare money we have each month on emergency types things lol.
Maybe once we get a few of the higher DD's (debts) paid off we can find some spare money to start one.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

What a chancer that non-payer is! You were very clear about your intentions so he had his chance!
Lovely thought for your Grandma's Christmas gift. I think the older generation definitely prefer thoughtful, personal gifts over expensive items. Last year my grandparents got two paper roses made from a map of their favourite place, displayed in a small vase. This year, i think it'll be a print of my kids in a nice frame (we got pictures taken last week of them so if they're good, we'll be buying the USB).
That car bill was eyewatering! Glad you had the funds to cover it though...Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Yeah it does make me worry about what we would do if things broke down etc xxHomegrown0 wrote: »What a chancer that non-payer is! You were very clear about your intentions so he had his chance!

Aww I love the map and paper rose idea! thats fab! did you make them yourself? A pic of the kids sounds lovely too
I know, it was eye watering that's for sure, we also had new break pads on top of that which FIL paid for lol bless him. We may need new tyres, well I think we deffo do need new tyres before we get snow, so any ebay money will go to that
I have just bought our main christmas present, game have the ps4 pro 1TB with red dead redemption 2 (which is a game we wanted) for £350 on pre order (game is released end of oct) so I bought it, looked around online for months, and the cheapest it came down to was £300 last black friday, so this seems like a good deal to meso I am pleased we have that sorted
And I have also put £100 away into the christmas savings, so we are now up to £660 total:T:T:T
I am just about to do some crochet for my last 15 mins of lunch break

I wish I'd done them myself...to be honest, I probably could have done but I was so done with 'makes' after my sister's wedding in the September that I got her florist (who made her paper bouquet) to do it. She did an awesome job and barely charged me anything, sweet lady. I printed off the maps on nice coloured paper and she made them.I'm sure there's a tutorial online to get them right if you fancy it.
Mine was like this: https://www.notonthehighstreet.com/bookish/product/map-rose
Great deal on the PS4 and good news on the Christmas savings. I always find it hard to keep track on the savings when it comes to this time of year because I've already made a start on buying things but I'm still saving.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Nightmare! Hope it's an easy fix
It never rains, but it pours!
I've just been keeping tally of my spends and tracking what I still need/ want to spend on those I still need to buy for to make sure my savings/ projected credit union pay out covers it. I made a list earlier which covers everything, even though I don't know what I'm getting everyone.Sealed Pot Challenge 075
