Ha ha, now I know why I have never ever been on a forum before!! Thought you were supposed to be nice to Newbies! Yikes the scepticism abounds! I am not trying to sell a course I was just trying to be helpful as someone was asking about Amanda. Sorry!! How I got to this forum page in fact was I was doing a search on how best to write an About Me page

You are a silver powerseller for 4 yrs making £80gs a year and you came here looking on how to do an 'about me' ebay page?

    BS.

Hello, now i'm not going to say you are "amanda" and not ruthy t, but you have spent a fair while typing all that "info" in.
to what end? for someone else to join up and take some of your Amazon/Ebay customers? i think not.
how about some proof of these amazing earnings?
you say you are successful, let's see the evidence.
and yes, i am a skeptic.

To start with you have to buy items to sell, that means Pay import duties then Pay VAT then you have to Pay ebay then Pay paypal and then Pay the tax man and Pay Amanda O'Brien cant be much left If your item fails to sell you still have to pay ebay
    or Amazon.

Hi all, has anyone ever signed up to Amanda O'brien‎'s eBay Mentorship Programme?

I know she has been doing this and other ebook type things for years and today I got an email saying the she will mentor 25 people, and it lists the usual sales stuff to get you to sign up and lots of freebie ebook type things. The course is just under £900. It says she will guide you in to having a successful ebay business through mentoring and identifying niche and hot products and where to source them so that you can then sell on ebay.

Just wondered if anyone has any info on this and is it for real / worth thinking about?

I would forget a mentorship programme for now all the information is on the net for free.
  • As someone who sells on eBay I think that there are very unfair comments being posted here about Amanda O'Brien. I have never been or intend to go on any of her mentoring courses... however I do subscribe to her free newsletter. As a marketing expert before she started her eBay business, her ideas are well-presented cogent common sense and give newcomers the tools which they need to succeed. It doesn't mean that they will. If you do a tour of Get Rich Quickly free seminars etc. .. you will find a number of attendees expressing views similar to posters here who will have bought various manuals etc. thinking that this will instantly unlock success .. they won't .. without personal commitment, motivation etc. What Amanda is selling is a formula based on her own experiences, good and bad, and her own marketing experience which can help you to become successful on eBay. Without your personal commitment and motivation to building your own business you will NOT be successful and that applies to ANY business. Personally, I reckon that Amanda is one of the best eBay advisors around.
  • I am not affiliated to Amanda O'Brien or anyone else for that matter however I stumbled across this thread and am amazed at how ignorant people are. Talking about "oooh you have to buy products and then pay taxes and other fees (ebay/Amazon) this will eat into your profit!!! Well of course it will just like the local shop who has to buy their products and then sell on at a profit.

Basic economics isn't it? Sell at a higher price than the costs are and your in profit.

So why should this be any different for someone like Amanda Obrien?? Just because the majority of people are cynical losers who will never make any money on line because they haven't the brain to recognoise an opporutunity or the will power to work to make it happen.

Just go on to Ebay and research a number of BUY IT NOW products and you will see that the sellers are making a huge killing and many source from China etc too. Plain logic shows it works its not rocket science. Amanda Obrien and people like her will always be successful because they not only look at opportunities but they act on them and make it work.

I would never ask for advice on here unless deep down I wanted confirmation NOT to do something because ill informed commnets based on fear are not usefull or helpful.

To state that DSDomination is against Ebay rules is ridiculous too. Why? because you sell at one price and sell at another higher price! Whats wrong with that?

oh whinge whinge whinge what if you run out of stock?? Basically you manage the business/process as required to ensure that stocks are in good supply... If they do run out then you deal with it.

I know a very successful internet marketer who has a membership website on football coaching and if asked he would tell you that all the information that he provides can be found elsewhere on the internet free. Yet he still makes over £20k a month from his members. Why do you think that is??

Those that think you cant do something are correct!! Those that think you can do something are also correct!!

Yes be cautious but please open your mind and don't make comments on something that you don't have enough knowledge on to provide an informed opinion.

    Rant over!! Thanks, :-)

Here's the issue though Colin46...all the positive comments about this person are from new posters. Not one established poster.

It smacks of 'I will tell you how to get rich' by getting myself rich myself by selling courses. The reason there are so many of these courses is that they are more lucrative than the actual advice they give.

Isn't she lucky that so many of her supporters are stumbling across this thread whilst looking for something else?
