Has anyone any experience of Amanda O'brien‎ - ebay mentor

Hi all, has anyone ever signed up to Amanda O'brien‎'s eBay Mentorship Programme?

I know she has been doing this and other ebook type things for years and today I got an email saying the she will mentor 25 people, and it lists the usual sales stuff to get you to sign up and lots of freebie ebook type things. The course is just under £900. It says she will guide you in to having a successful ebay business through mentoring and identifying niche and hot products and where to source them so that you can then sell on ebay.

Just wondered if anyone has any info on this and is it for real / worth thinking about?

    I've never heard of her.
I wouldn't give it another thought.
    I definitely wouldn't sign up.

If she's giving 25 people at a time hints on niche and hot products, my thinking would be that that's enough sellers to stop it being so much of a niche pretty quickly. Ditto the sourcing out.
I'd be giving it a wide berth personally.

If her own eBay business is so lucrative why is she selling this?

For a small sum it might be worth it but £900?

    Seriously?

    I think this is a good idea - if you're Amanda O'Brien.

    25 x £900 = £22,500 - not bad.

Thanks for the replies.... and yes I was thinking much the same to everything you have said, I think its more about make money from selling mentoring schemes than helping people to earn money out of ebay :)
  • My course is 50p.
Find it anywhere - dust it - list it - sell it - bank it.

Hi there, I know this is an old post but I just think I needed to say something here in Amanda's defence. I am one of her mentees, and I paid £900 for the pleasure. I have to say I have never looked back. Of Course I was completely cynical of all this eBay and Amazon trading and all the people who profess that they can make you a millionaire overnight BS! But Amanda is not like that at all. I didn't jump in straight away I bought her first book The £2500 per week eBay Powersellers Secrets. But didn't do much about it for about a year, then I followed her instructions got my first product late 2010 and have worked my a**e off ever since. It's not easy and if I was to know then what I know now I would think God it's easier to work 9-5. Just to let you know I am a 51 year old wife and Mum, and I worked this around family and a full-time job. I have now left that job to do eBay and Amazon full-time. It ain't for the faint heart believe me. But I can't recommend Amanda enough, she is a very approachable down to earth person and is always there if I need to ask her a question. Start off with her book first and/or a course then you won't feel so stressed about the financial side of things. I didn't become her mentee until about 2 years ago, but I am now a Silver Powerseller on eBay and also do very well on Amazon. I have also just become VAT registered as my turnover was over £80,000, that's me doing this part-time. Don't listen to the haters and stay stuck doing nothing! Take the jump you won't regret it :)
