Hi there, I know this is an old post but I just think I needed to say something here in Amanda's defence. I am one of her mentees, and I paid £900 for the pleasure. I have to say I have never looked back. Of Course I was completely cynical of all this eBay and Amazon trading and all the people who profess that they can make you a millionaire overnight BS! But Amanda is not like that at all. I didn't jump in straight away I bought her first book The £2500 per week eBay Powersellers Secrets. But didn't do much about it for about a year, then I followed her instructions got my first product late 2010 and have worked my a**e off ever since. It's not easy and if I was to know then what I know now I would think God it's easier to work 9-5. Just to let you know I am a 51 year old wife and Mum, and I worked this around family and a full-time job. I have now left that job to do eBay and Amazon full-time. It ain't for the faint heart believe me. But I can't recommend Amanda enough, she is a very approachable down to earth person and is always there if I need to ask her a question. Start off with her book first and/or a course then you won't feel so stressed about the financial side of things. I didn't become her mentee until about 2 years ago, but I am now a Silver Powerseller on eBay and also do very well on Amazon. I have also just become VAT registered as my turnover was over £80,000, that's me doing this part-time. Don't listen to the haters and stay stuck doing nothing! Take the jump you won't regret it
to what end? for someone else to join up and take some of your Amazon/Ebay customers? i think not.
how about some proof of these amazing earnings?
you say you are successful, let's see the evidence.
and yes, i am a skeptic.0 -
Hello, now i'm not going to say you are "amanda" and not ruthy t, but you have spent a fair while typing all that "info" in.

I'd have to say that with the pace things change on amazon and ebay, even if the first idea was a money maker, it wouldn't last that long. And if you need someone else to give you ideas, you won't go very far anyway.
It always amazes me when someone feels so strongly about a product of service that they feel the urge to sign up to a forum they didn't know about, just to sing their praise. The slightly defensive/aggressive response is also typical of these one-time posters...
Even more odd is how keen you are for other people to attend the course and get hold of all the valuable information that has made you a successfully entrepreneur...0 -
TF, you forgot to say they always mention 9-5 and hard work!
If you have seen one defence from a first poster you have seen them all.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Ha ha, now I know why I have never ever been on a forum before!! Thought you were supposed to be nice to Newbies! Yikes the scepticism abounds! I am not trying to sell a course I was just trying to be helpful as someone was asking about Amanda. Sorry!! How I got to this forum page in fact was I was doing a search on how best to write an About Me page for my own website. A natural progression that Amanda and others (Oliver Goehler, Mark the Lazy B, et al - no I am not them either :rotfl:) all advise you to do after you get to grips with eBay and Amazon! Basically you have to spend a bit of dosh on a few courses, and get stuck in doing your day job, coming home and doing your online work till 2 in the morning! Hard work, not for the faint-hearted or slackers. Thank God I am not one of those, I was a sceptic, but I am a hard worker, but even now I still doubt myself, but I push on through. I won't write again as I can see the type of person who hangs out in these sorts of forums. I am certainly not going to give you proof by pointing you to my eBay/ Amazon shops so you can steal 4 years of hard work! Seen that before believe me! Always being asked that one! Sorry, I see I have again written too much - must mean I am Amanda, Oliver, Mark ha ha, enjoy your 9-5!:rotfl:I haven't got time to be doing this on a daily basis!
as it is already being widely advertised/sold.
the product was an electronic flea comb.:)
the sums look nice at the end of the video, but she blatently omits to mention that buying in large quantities from china means you will have to pay VAT and import duty, thus eating into those "nice" profits. and by the way, i think most of us know all about DHGate, Alibaba, Aliexpress, Made In China.com etc.. etc... There you go people, that's where they all tell you to make a start.:rotfl:0 -
Why is there a market for this product? I mean, even if you had an electronic flea, why would you bother making its hair look nice?0

Hi all, has anyone ever signed up to Amanda O'brien's eBay Mentorship Programme?
I know she has been doing this and other ebook type things for years and today I got an email saying the she will mentor 25 people, and it lists the usual sales stuff to get you to sign up and lots of freebie ebook type things. The course is just under £900. It says she will guide you in to having a successful ebay business through mentoring and identifying niche and hot products and where to source them so that you can then sell on ebay.
Just wondered if anyone has any info on this and is it for real / worth thinking about?
Sounds like a "DS Domination" sort of set up where you cut and paste from Amazon to Ebay and hope to make profit on the difference between the prices. You will be chasing pennies and trying to benefit from people not bothering to check the price at Amazon before bidding on Ebay. It's a pretty miserable existence I would have thought.
I wouldn't recommend DS Domination or any other form of ebay / amazon drop-shipping, but at least with DSD they only charge you a monthly fee so that you can drop out when you realise that it's all a bit over-sold & exaggerated.
Not sure what you are supposed to do if Amazon is out of stock when you need to fulfil your ebay order - feedback hell?
I'm pretty sure this behaviour is also against ebay / amazon t&cs.
Get banned from one and your whole business (and £900) is down the drain.
Finally, I always wonder why (if this system is so good) O'Brien doesn't just hire teams of employees from the cheap parts of the world to apply the system and make her into a billionaire?0 -
