N1 claim form, fraud car insurance claim!

Options
Hi wondering if anyone can help?

4 years ago I received a car insurance claim against me, I do not recall any accidents Ive been involved in. I contacted my insurance company and they said they past it on to the solicitors 'Parabis'. I explained to Parabis I was not involved and they said they will be waiting for the other partys report. A year passed - nothing. I then was contacted by Parabis (my apparent solicitors) to provide details and proof I was not involved (as I was at work during the alleged incident time). I emailed it over. Another year passed - nothing. Its now 4 years since the date of alleged incident, i have sold my car (but kept pictures of my car at that time to proved no scratch on my car). now i have been contacting Parabis several times but just ignored them because it goes nowhere speaking to them!

Recently I was sent a letter by 'Irwin Mitchell Solictors' (claimants solicitors), with an 'N1 claim form, particulars of claim and notice of funding'. The N1 claim form is a copy, from Northampton County Court, but it is a copy. In the top right hand corner of this it says 'claim number' and issue date' - but these 2 areas are covered by what looks like a barcode sticker with 8 alphanumeric code and a date - is this a legitimate N1 form?

This has been 4 years why are they bothering me again? What do I do now?

I have not been contacted by my car insurance company about this since the first time I contacted them 4 years ago. What do I do now?

Any help will be appreciated.

Find out from Northampton court whether there is a court judgement in your name. It could be that a court claim was made against you, which somehow you have not heard about and a default judgement has been made against you.

Or if this is a very recent court claim form date, perhaps you will receive the original claim soon from the court.

Suggest that you speak to your Insurance company you had at the time and ask them to deal with this for you. If the court judgement was made sometime ago in your name, you need your Insurers to settle this urgently, before enforcement against you takes place.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
