Temporary 3G Internet Access USA

Hi

Can anyone recommend a sim that would allow me to use 3G in the USA for a short trip. I would only require small amounts of data, as it's mainly to check email.

I never enter any of my email/bank passwords over public WIFI anymore, after discovering how insecure it is (only use 3G for this.)

Cheers

and buy and add on to use Feel At Home.

As a Three customer, you can use your UK plan allowance or Add-on allowance, just as if you were at home, to call and text the UK and get online right across the USA, as well as in Austria, Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Macau, the Republic of Ireland, Sri Lanka and Sweden.

So you can now tweet London from Las Vegas, text Derby from Dublin or call Hull from Hong Kong, without the worry of extra charges? Just remember, if you send texts or make calls to local numbers while abroad you’ll be charged our normal roaming rates. And if you’re using Pay As You Go credit or you use all of your inclusive allowances, we’ve arranged special roaming rates for you that are lower than normal in these destinations.

You also need a compatible handset. Many US networks use frequencies no not available on EU-standard handsets.
  • Thanks OldGreyFox. I'm already a Three customer, and will try and contact them tomorrow.

  • Interesting point Buzby, I was planning to use a USB mobile broadband dongle I bought in Spain. It works in UK and Europe. I've got a funny feeling it won't work in USA.
