Parking Eye - Court papers - help needed

My wife parked in a local bingo halls car park in Chesterfield, she had not been to the bingo for few months and didn't know parking eye had taken over the parking. Anyhow she did not enter her reg in the machine and a few days later we got a fine via the post.
The parking is free for people who use the bingo hall so they have not lost any money as she was using the company that owns the land... the bingo company.
Anyhow this weekend we have court papers from Northampton court claiming £100 with £15 court fees and £50 solicitors costs.
Please help... i have fought council tickets in the past and won but the thought of court action has me worried..
I am sorry if this is in the wrong thread but i just need a little help or links to more advice about how to beat this.
I notice on the original letter our car was filmed towards the end of december 2013 but the ticket was issued with in a week. I have been told that parking operators have to wait 28days before they can get your details from the DVLA otherwise is not valid and the DVLA also break the law... this was on the Guardians web site
Thanks in advance for any help...

Only if a winsdscreen notice was issued does the 28 days apply, otherwise it's within 14 days but if they don't comply it doesn't make it illegal - just means an extra appeal point had you appealed.
Others more familiar with providing help re: county court claims will respond shortly - in the meantime lots of useful information on the Sticky NEWBIES thread - scroll down post #1 until you see SMALL CLAIMS COURT0 -
only the landowner or their legally appointed agent can take you to court
so complain to the bingo hall / landowner asap and get it cancelled which should have been done in the first place
also have a read of the parking pranksters court guides to PE
check the 2 sticky threads for further help seeing as you dont seem to have read them
under POFA 2012 the postal invoice (its not a fine) should be received within 14 days, so they had 14 days to get it to you in order to comply with POFA 2012
that is when you should have appealed it like you did with council tickets0 -
Go straight to the Bingo hall and Demand to see the manager and inform them this is what is happening when all you did was be a customer of the Bingo and demand it is cancelled or you will go straight to the daily mail with the Court Claim and story.Be happy...;)0

Another question, are you sure the wife was driving, if you were mistaken and you were driving they have to reset the clock and allow you to appeal.
Easy mistake to make.Be happy...;)0 -
You could always contact Grant Shapps or George Osborne. They seem very keen to support people who play bingo!

Same advice and links as on LOADS of other threads like yours, such as here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4927502
Read the links suggested and get the Parking Prankster's Guide, and acknowledge the court claim. Then work on your defence which has to follow your acknowledgement. The links and advice you will see on this forum (as advised to that poster) will explain what's what and if you want help with the defence wording, just give us another shout on this thread!PRIVATE 'PCN'?
