Crawley UKPC Parking appeal

Ok so heres the thing............I have recieved letters concerning a parking ticket recieved in a free car park for UKPC. The ticket detailed my car.........but they got the colour wrong.

If the letters recieved about it denotes my car, which does include a photograph (taken in the hours of darkness) detailing a car that is different to that on the ticket..........where do I stand?

It has no relevance as this is a private parking invoice, this will not stop them trying to scam you. So a couple of questions, is this England or Wales ? When did you get your Notice to Keeper? Have you appealed to them?

    Thanks

    Ah...the old "wrong registration/colour/make" trick.

It is very common for PPCs in general, and UKPC in particular to make glaringly obvious errors on their tickets. The uninitiated often think this will give them grounds to get the ticket overturned, as it might with a real council PCN. However, in reality, if you contact them to contest the ticket on this basis, all you would be doing is outing yourself as the driver and saving them £2.50 applying to DVLA for your details. PPCs never cancel tickets with the wrong registration/colour/make or any other "minor details" they have messed up on. Don't forget, the only thing they are interested in is getting their hands on your money.

Provided that you are the registered keeper, do NOT contact them until you receive the NtK, you can be certain they already know about their "mistake".

In the remote possibility that it is a genuine mistake, it's their problem, not yours. By contacting them you just flag yourself up as somebody who takes their ridiculous charges seriously.
