The Ageas Optima product has no limits on theft from an outbuilding - and it is a standard household product so won't attract a price premium - Ageas only sell via broker's though so the above advice is essentially correct.
In terms of the property, if the garage appears on your deeds then it will generally be considered a part of your property - if however, you pay a seperate rental for it then you will likely need seperate insurance. Another reason a broker would help in this situation as they would be able to advise you.0
