But at least you won't get sunburn like so many of the people stripping off in their excitement at the sunshine and getting caught out! ;)

Why DO we always think the sun's warm enough to strip off but not strong enough to protect ourselves in the UK?! I used to be guilty of it too, but learned the hard way (too many times!) :o

Yes, I can sit back and laugh at all the lobsters walking up the street :rotfl:

It never fails to amaze me either why people don't use protection. I'm quite lucky really that I tan easily and naturally, and although my body hasn't seen the sun for over 2 years now I'm not paste white and still have reasonable colour. If I spent just a few days in the sun I'd look as though I'd been on a Mediterranean cruise for a couple of weeks ;)

Well, tonight I will be cooking myself "Italian chicken" - chicken in a tomato, pepper and mushroom sauce with a couple of glasses of white wine (bought from the current promo at Tesco). This will be followed by a long bath in bubble bath that I'm still wading through from Christmas. Mr-nearly-VickyA is off fishing at the moment, so I have the house, and computer, all to myself.

Tomorrow, on his return, we will be heading off to watch a rugby match - which will probably be quite stressful really.

Sunday and Monday I will be spending doing job applications.................. Not much relaxing, I'm afraid, but I'm giving myself time off when my friend and her husband come round for dinner on Sunday night. (mental note: more wine needed!)

You're lucky - I'd be one of those lobsters if I wasn't careful. Most of the time I am the colour of milk!! :rotfl: I came back from the Costa Brava, two weeks of glorious sun, with tan marks for the first time in a long time, but when you don't compare the "tanned" parts to the uncovered parts it looks like I've been living in the Antartic for years, I was still so white! But to me it was a tan, because I was a darker shade of white, hehe!

I had a friend like that and if she spent an afternoon outdoors on a warm day she'd go lobster red and burn, but once the redness went she didn't have a tan to show for it, she was still pastey white.

I have burned in the past, but that's when I've either been stupid and laid out all day with no protection or, and I think this is where a lot of people get caught out, on a busy day working outdoors and not noticing you've even caught the sun till you get in the shower that evening ... ouch!!!

Unlikely to get sun burn this weekend - even here in the (so called) sunny south! Okay, so other people are walking around in t-shirts but I'm still bundled up in a fleece!!! Besides, it's raining so the best we can hope for is rust!

My relaxing weekend will consist of borrowing my friend's dog and going for a walk in a bluebell wood.

Those body scrubs sound good. Don't do what I did last time I made a homemade one. Quickly threw in sea salt and oil and took upstairs. Merrily rubbing it in when I thought this smells a bit - maybe the bowl had something in the bottom I hadn't noticed. Thought to myself I smell like food - then realised I'd used the GARLIC flavoured olive oil - not relaxing at all.

I'll get a bit of peace for a while. Mr TM is off doing a D of E camping trip until Sunday and has taken DS1 with him. So that just leaves DS2 to contend with. (Next year he can take both of them :D) But it's DS1's 6th birthday on Sunday and in true MSE style, it's a HM party, with food, drink, stupid games etc. I intend to leave the game-overseeing to the dads whilst I and any mums who stay will be sitting in the summerhouse sipping vast quantities of vino. (hic)

Off to wrap the 'pass the parcel' and draw something for pin the tail on - actually, being 6 yr old boys, I was thinking something along the lines of 'pin the snot on the alien' :D

Hi thanks for the body scrub ideas! I love home-made cosmetics - my flat mate thinks I'm mad with my porridge oat and honey face pack (it smells nice if nothing else!)
    - Dropped by Tesco and I must have been due some good karma cus the yellow sticker section was packed to busting! - got a huge noodle and veg stir fry with snazzy sauce and a big box of strawberries for £2.50 - not bad.
Am going to see a man about an allotment on Saturay so I may get some fresh air yet!
I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
