Hi guys,
Couldn't find a directly related forum to ask this, so hope this is ok.
I recently formed a pvt ltd company and as I am the director and it is registered at my house, I have become very easily searchable on Google!
Sites like Due Dil and the like are publicising ALL of my info!
How can I hide myself from such things?? I had no idea I was signing up to this!
I will be sending off forms to hide my data from 192 and Persontracer (or whatever its called) and submitting this: http://ukdata.com/help/credit-reports-documents/how-to-remove-search-results.
Is there anything else I should do to optimise my privacy?
Thanks in advance,
Z

Privacy and company directorship aren't good bedfellows. Sorry, but your options are tight. A 'registered office' is so called because the presumption is you don't live there.
Without writing a dissertation on company law it is important consumers are protected; that is one reason why a company's registered office has to be in the UK and not a PO Box. There was a firestorm when limited companies first appeared. People were outraged at the idea that no matter how much you suffer because of somebody else's cockup you can only sue them for £1.00.0 -
Use a registered address that is not your home address. Some accountants and law firms offer this service for a small fee.0

My office is a registered office for a number of non UK-based clients, and my (and their) public address is the office address. As long as mail would be redirected, you can use any address.
You can also ask any companies in Google to limit search visibility, but I doubt they'd remove the details outright.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses.
My accountant has already assigned their office as my registered office.
What I'm more worried about is my age showing up in these search results!
Address and name I can understand, but how the hell is age necessary as public domain directorship info?
?

Because people can change their name extremely easily, so if you have John Smith, who changes his name to John Jones with the separate company, in order to trade with people he has possibly left unpaid debts to with company one (assuming same address) this can be reasonably easily cross-referenced.

Believe it or not your details can get on a lot of these sites regardless of what you do. Look at 192.com If you have ever had a no ex-directory phone number, Voters Roll etc you will appear here.
Lots of companies making money out of your details.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

As I said in my first post, I've already submitted a form to 192 and the like requesting my details to be removed.
My question remains; what valid reason could there possibly be to publicise directors age??0 -

As part of my job I spend some time searching on companies house to see if the directors of a given company are directors of any others. In most instances there are at least 3 or 4 listed directors with the same name, and the only way to distinguish between them is their date of birth.
As this information is publicly available, it'll be the easiest way for the public to tie this directorship to any other directorships you have.0 -
