O2 contract for gap year students

Forgive me if this has already. In an effort to money save i contacted O2 to change my contract over to PAYG, however they told me about a really good contract

Basically, this is a 12 month contract for gap year students. It costs £6 per month and with that you get 25 free mins/month any time any network and 25 free text messages. Any extra is charged at standard rate. The bonus to this scheme is that when you sign up for it, o2 will credit your account with £75 meaning that if you did not use your phone extra to the free mins/text you are in credit by £3!! Ideal for those like me who only need it for emergencies.

Don't mean to burst your bubble but there's nothing special about this, this is a bread and butter save deal.

O2 25 @ £16pm ( 25 x-net mins and 25 txts or 6 mms )
£10pm Subs Discount
£75 resign credit in place of a upgrade

So long as you don't use more then the mins and txts then you will not get a charge on your bill.

TBH i thought they where phasing this deal out as there is no value for O2 in this deal.

But for users like your self if you just need it now and the it's perfect.
