I have found that Morrisons 2mg and 4mg losenges are really good, they are £4.19 for 36 (and I chop the 4mg into quarters and they last for ages).
Also I gave up through a program at my chemists (Rowlands pharmacy, though I think others do it). Got my prescription from the doctors and then the chemist only charged me one prescription charge per item for the whole 14 weeks.
I used the patches and the inhalator, so just paid 2 prescription charges in total.
The best thing I have found is a Kick Smoking app on my phone which tells me exactly how much money I haven't spent since I quit, along with how many fags I haven't smoked! Great motivation.
good luck anyone who is giving it a go, I didn't think I would do it but I tell you what, I'm never going back!... and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should ...0 -

I started smoking at the age of 11, I am now in my 80's and believe that in that time I smoked most of the brands that came on the market. About 18/24 months back with prices going up and up {I had changed about 40 years back from normal cigs to rolling my own} I looked into ecigs and for a while was using both. At the start of the year I tried dropping the rolling tobacco and only using ecigs {I have a heart condition and even the doctor stating years age that carrying on could kill me I still smoked}.I can honestly say now I have gone for over 4.5 months without a {normal} smoke and intend {if poss} to come off the ecigs sometime in the future.
I know there are debates as to nicotine and smoking but since going down this road I feel a lot healthier,do not crave my old style and have lost the "smokers cough" so if anyone is still wanting to either stop or just try and cut back do give ecigs a look, they have helped me no end and could do the same for others.0
