Do you know anywhere that can beat the prices for the patches on www.Mad2Smoke.com? Seriously, they include free UK delivery too. The triple packs are astounding value. They also sell lozenges and gum.0

I quit for two years after reading Allen Carr's Easyway. It really did change the way I felt about cigarettes...can't explain it, but you do get a sort of 'eureka' moment while reading the book. Sort of counter brainwashing that stopping is hard. (I can understand this as addiction probably is all in the mind. ) I read the book in two hours and stopped immediately with no cravings or patches. Cheap too, as it only cost the price of the book. However, (big however
I caved a while ago and had a cig while on holiday. Now back to about ten a day.
Looked out the book again...but apparently, it doesn't work so well the second time!Life.

Bring it on! :j0 -
EDIT: Sorry, misread your message. I was asking how long you quit for but I can see you stopped for two years! That's pretty good though.0

Has anyone tried the Electronic Cigarette. I have found a site on the web (https://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk) and it seems too good to be true. My friend has tried one and said it was like smoking a cigarette.
They don't seem to be advertising it as an aid to quit just as a 'get around' to the smoking ban. I was wondering if anyone had tried and successfully given up using this.0 -
I've heard a lot said recently about the electronic cigarette but their one thing it cannot be worse that smoking normal tobacco cigarettes and it smell a lot better as well.
I bought my mum one for Christmas and although it took a while to get used to she has now quit smoking normal cigarettes and is saving a lot of money.
Be careful though I have heard stories of dodgy electronic cigarettes.I got mine from The Electronic Cigarette Company.
They do have testimonials on their from people and they seem pretty genuine.0 -
My hubbie and I have just given up smoking real cigarettes using electronic cigarettes instead. Ok - we're still feeding our nicotine habit but we've never been able to stop before using patches, gum etc. We're in the middle of a house sale/purchase too and I can't believe we're able to give up at a stressful time. Hubby hasn't smoked for 2 weeks now and I'm on day 5. (I was going to wait til after the move but seeing how well it was going for hb decided to try). The amazing thing we found that it was so easy (it is so similar to smoking a real cigarette!) and within a day or two your sense of taste and smell start to come back and our chests feel clearer. The other thing we like about them is that you can reduce your nicotine dose over time and even smoke them with no nicotine, which must be great for those situations when you've just given up but are in the company of other smokers - you don't have to feel left out or give in to a moment of weakness!
We'd recommend http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/ too and you can use a discount code 3AFEB which gives 7.5% discount.0 -
I used patches to give up from my local chemist. I just paid the prescription charge and got 2 or 3 packs at a time. Next week will be 2 years since I gave up :j0

I tried the electronic cigarette after smoking for 8 years and surprised how realsitic it was - and also surprised that it had no odour like a normal cigarette but yet still gave a vapour. I got a starter kit from easycigarette.com but now that ones wearing it I'm going to get a better one as they are having a 10% discount of all their kits.0
