Every tab you have open will take up a bit of memory, so eventually if you have too many open it will slow your computer down / just crash it completely. If this is what you are actually doing then it might be worth picking up one of the other techniques discussed and using that, as everything will load a load faster if you're not over using your available memory and in the long run you'll have more time to enter more comps. (I hope that makes sense ... I'm not sure exactly how you're using the "tab counter")

Yes I do have a tab open for each competition i want to enter, the most i have had open was 96 I just go through them then and enter, i also use snaplinks add on to get them opened up quicker.
I have a computer that is good enough to do this without any slow down but my average tabs open at once is normally around the 60 mark and once i have got through them i will restart my browser to release the memory back ready for the next lot. I only use the counter for my own benefit to give me a rough idea as to how many i have up at any one time as i was curious never knowing until i found out about the add on.

That is exactly how I comp I can have 800 plus tabs open on a morning, and I close them off during the day as I enter/delete them.

I only have 3 tabs open at the moment so I know it is almost bedtime (or more probably time to watch The Mentalist)

Wow that is a lot of tabs to have open I sometimes wonder how many i could get open at once 96 my personal best so far but may try pushing it for a few more but think i may struggle with so many lol
