How do you keep count?

Thanks for all the replies.
I've only just started counting this month as i've joined the challenge but have so far found it encouraging. If I find one day going particularly slow, I'll hit the c2w's just to boost it a bit which keeps me going.
2013 I totally get what you're saying and I am kind of the same. In fact according to my medical records I am a complete perfectionist so have to do things certain ways etc.
This counter I have bought is fab. Very similar to the phone apps but it is attached my my left index finger and I can easily reach it with my thumb to tap it each time i enter a comp. Great for the c2w's. It was only 99p too, bargain!Started comping Feb 2015 - Wins to date:
2015 - Celebrity Slim bundle - Stabilo Pens - Family SeaLife Pass - £50 Lidl voucher - Book - Family Geronimo ticket - FYEO photo shoot - £25 cash0 -
hello
relatively new comper, I've entered 2000+ in 2 months and no wins! i use a counting app on iphone, just leave it on and tap a button each time you enter.
My question is, when counting how many comps you've entered do people count each entry to a competition as 1 comp entered or do you count each competition entered as 1 entry even if you enter it 5 times?
Hope that makes sense?
thanks

From posts people have made on other threads it would appear both methods are used.
I don't count entries but if I did then 5 entries would be counted as 5 entries regardless of the number of different competitions they might be for.0 -
I have a tally counter on my phone, but only keep track on a day-to-day basis and don't keep a constant record. Plus, I'm only keeping track for the monthly challenge.2019 Wins

Can anyone clarify which method is used to do the monthly comp challenge?

I don't keep count, but I sometimes make a reasonable estimate - for instance I know today I've done about 10 pages worth, and probably enter an average of about 5 per page, so about 50 comps. I know it's rough, but a couple of times when I've wanted to know better I kept a better mental record as I was going.
When I'd been comping a little while and had a couple of big wins I decided to work out roughly my pay and came up with a figure of about £3 per hour (based on RRP of prizes) - I did it again about a month ago and was at about 10p per hour! Not sure where all my lucks gone, lucky I enjoy doing it really! And there's always the hope of that 1 big win that'd take me over minimum wage!![FONT="]

I never count how many comps I enter - I just enter and forget/move on. If you start analysing how many comps you have entered and then compare your totals with others or start calculating win ratios, you can easily fall into the trap of becoming number obsessed as the feelings of paranoia/envy creep in, eg how come Miss X has entered half the amount of comps I have entered in the last month but won more???' etc etc. I see comping as a hobby and I just enter what I can and when I can
Just my view though so if you enjoy counting your entries, then good luck to you
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
